Clinton in San Jose, CA. B&N Book store line PICS - My eyewitness report

This was the line to get a wrist band then Clinton will sign books at 8:30PM. I'll go there then and take more pics and report back.

I'd estimate 1000 - 2000 people. This is a quick estimate by looking at my pics and counting 10 people in an area and then extrapolate.

Plesse be on a look out for what the GOP Whore Media estimates and let me know.

2. I drove by around 10:30 AM, guessed it was Big Dog-related...
I saw 2 San Jose cop cars and at first thought it was an accident, a store evacuation, etc...then I saw the umbrellas and lounge chairs in the back parking lot and thought "I'll bet Big Dog's doing a book signing"...

Looking forward to your pics and update.

5. You know the sad thing is that if 10 people camped out in a pop up to
wait for Bush it would be national news. Look at how our dear leader is beloved by the masses! Bet the coverage on this event is next to nil. I detest the media. <rant over>

6. The paper said they expected about 3,000 people
Where the hell are they all parking? I know there isn't much parking around there.

9. I've got the pics. I left around 10am and still many people were
just arriving.

I think it's impossible for any person to sign that many books each day for weeks. It's too much to ask of anyone! Clinton is really a strong person. Emotionally and physically. I don't see how he can be smiling all day, morning to night, years on end!

chairs, (close up pic), told me B&N was out right at 9AM sharp and started passing out the wrist bands at which time many people had left and would return in the evening. Who knows how many people left.

What makes me a little angry is the last night's TV news focused on a few people at the end of line in which it looks as though Clinton could not keep his hand moving any longer and might have to go to sleep. The media focused on these few people complaining. (Monday late afternoon.)

12. I was 4 feet from Clinton. He smiled at me!
Evening Update starts here:
http://darkerxdarker.tripod.com/clinbn3.htm

I was 4 feet from President Clinton. His SUV, the second one is NOT in this picture. The President's SUV stopped at the blue dot. I told myself I wasn't going to miss this trying to take a picture like I've done a thousand times before if life. (messing with the focus, looking through the viewfinder...) I staired right at President Clinton as his SUV drove up 4 feet from me. The line of vehicles were exiting. About the 5th up vehicle stopped to enter the main street which made all the vehicles in the line stop. And guess what! President Clintons SUV stopped right infront of me. He was on his cell phone. He looked at me and smiled and then they drove off.

Every person I had talked to that met him said he is a wonderful person. You can see it in his eyes. You can hear it in his voice. I honestly believe this.

(ps. this picture looks like this because screaming 'here he comes, it's the President.' I just couldn't believe it. I guess I dropped my hand when he stopped in front of me but at least I pushed the button. There were only 4 people in this area. We were with the mob and I knew it was wrong. I told the lady next to me to follow me. She told her husband to follow too. He didn't so we ditched him. We snaked our way through car dealer and popped out here. There was a line of San Jose Police right in front of us so the President was well protected. The four of us were jumping up screaming after the President went by and some people thought we were nuts but nobody knew we were touched by an angel!
