Freeps said: "we heard you talking and that Moore movie is lies and we don't know why chicks like you would go see dumb stuff like that."

Needless to say we got into an argument and the bartender had to break it up.

But, I'm asking: "What could I have said to these Freeps that wouldn't have caused an argument?"

remember that time Colin Powell showed spy satellite photos of a chemical weapon factory that were so clear he was even able to say what each individual part of the factory did? that was pretty flash. right?

If you were going to invade wouldn't you want to keep careful track of the factory's products? and wouldn't it be only sensible to start tracking them from where they are made - could be important, right?

I bet that that factory was the most heavily spied upon factory on earth for a while there, I bet in the run-up to war there wasn't a single second that chemical weapon factory wasn't under intense spy satellite observation - it would be madness not to right?

I'm sure you're going on rumors and innuendo you heard on Free Republic, but as I've read the site, I can tell you, the people who have never seen a post there get things wrong when they talk about Moore's other movies. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, buy a ticket for another movie at the multiplex and sneak into Moore's movie. Then you can see if the claims you've been reading are true or not and you won't be making a liberal any richer. Unless of course, you buy a ticket for a movie that wasn't made by Disney.

And another thing. The last man who called me a chick needed extensive dental work the next day. Have some respect for women. You give all Republicans a bad name when you talk down to us.

As soon as they called you chicks you should have known you were dealing with jerks. Men with no respect for women. I have noticed on Free Republic a lot of people talk about liberal intellectuals, as if being smart or intellectual is a bad thing. They wear their lack of intelligence as a badge of honor over there. Which I really don't get at all. But it is the way this country is going. Kids who get good marks in school are picked on. People who are too smart are shunned. It's a very disturbing trend toward stupidity.

I won't say Moore doesn't manipulate his data. He has been known to leave out a few facts. But so does Rush Limbaugh, but you don't see them coming down on him for leaving out facts or bending the truth. And Limbaugh bends the truth quite a bit. Which is quite different than just leaving out a few facts.

I personally think all the free publicity they're giving the movie over there is great. Let them picket! It will get people who hadn't even thought about seeing the movie out to see it. Which is a good thing. I hope Moore makes a ton of money off this movie.
