What's wrong with this picture?

The U.S. flag flies at half staff, after a dawn ceremony in which the Iraqi flag was raised for the first time at a base in south eastern Baghdad June 29, 2004 which the U.S. Army's 2nd Battalion, 1st Cavalry division shares with Iraq's National Guard.

Didn't the Iraqi's like that pretty (ugly) blue and white flag that we gave them?

3. Is out flag at half mast?
Not a good idea to show Americans they are second to a country that hates us...Reagan or not.

5. No it's from today
It was part of a hand over ceremony.

But it did seem wrong to me that he US flag would be flown at half-mast under the circumstances.

Maybe in Iraq, they say the same thing, no other flag is to be flown higher than the Iraqi flag...

2. If that's on a US base they're violating the flag code
Of course, since they're not following the constitution or international law it's probably OK that they fly the US flag subordinate to the flag of a regime the US attacked, invaded, deposed, occupied and now resurrected. I get the symbolism, I think.

9. No, I was referring to this flag

The flag that the US made for the Iraqis and tried to shove down their throats. Obviously, it wasn't a big hit.

8. I don't know where this photo was taken, but if we have really
transfered power, then the American flag should not be there at all.

Very strange.

13. You must be a very detail oriented person?
but you're right, I would have thought that there would have been at least 52 stars, since we added Afghanistan and Iraq to the roster.

23. 52! lol...
Excellent point DYEW. We sure are paying for these countries to survive after we wrecked them. I think the least dimbulb* could do, would be to add two more stinkin stars to the flag to acknowledge it.

Does this mean Bush doesn't love our country?
