Detailed Report on Bush's AWOL
for those of you trying to debunk a Freeper denying that Bush went AWOL.

http://www.glcq.com/bush_at_arpc1.htm
(an excerpt)
The proof of this is the “ARF Retirement Credit Summary” dated January 30, 1974, which shows that Bush was placed in an “Inactive Status” effective September 15th, 1973. This document is the proverbial “smoking gun” which proves that the Air Force considered George W. Bush to have been a deserter. Under Air Force policy in force at that time, the only way that someone in Bush’s position could be placed in an “Inactive Status” was if they were being “completely severed from military status.” And the only way that could happen is if someone had become permanently disabled, or deserted. Bush was not disabled.

Instead, consistent with contemporaneous laws, regulations, and procedures, ARPC had reviewed Bush’s records, and found that he had failed to “satisfactorily participate” as a member of TXANG. Bush was then ordered to active duty, for which he did not show up. ARPC then certified him for immediate induction as a “non-locatee” (e.g. a deserter) through the Selective Service System.

This is the only explanation that is consistent with Bush’s military records and Air Force policy of that era.

It is also clear that the Bush records were tampered with to hide this fact. Many documents were thrown out that should have been kept, and there is indisputable evidence that at least one key documents has been altered.

2. The President Is A Coward
He is a coward today, he was a coward as a young man, I immagine he was a coward as a child and he will certainly go to his grave as a coward. Why would anyone at all be suprised by his desertion from Millitary service? It is completely in keeping with his persona. Filthy coward, no more and no less.

3. I wouldn't necessarily rule out the disabled angle.
We've all heard him speak and seen the aftermath of wheeled travel.

7. Thanks for the analysis. . . .
Have you ever read the Alabama articles about their impressions of * when he was helping Blount's bid for senate while he was stationed here? They are hysterical. Many did not think highly of him.

11. Back on track. Praise the Lord.
Alabama stuff is fun. Cocaine/medical exam is fun. "Not observed" is . . . hilarious.

But, from the military service institutional perspective, these all amount to what is technically referred to as a "personal problem". Duty is duty.

Back in February-March, the docs provided some individual ignition points, but the search for the missing Bush seemed to trail off into "the Colorado something-or-other", "the Ready Reserve", which was like a limbo place for obsolete fighter pilots, where you "waited" while you got into school, or some drivel that the media settled for back then.

This wonderful, careful analysis (thnx pl) encircles Shrub (and his henchmen/women) in a ring of fire they cannot escape: aWol was sought by the USAF as a deserter. And some fool fraudulently tampered with federal records. The AP has sued. We need to build more prisons.
