1. It is Mack, David, Vice President, Middle East Institute
He calls Bush's approach a fantasy. And the transfer of power an illusion designed to affect US elections.

3. Accept realities, like calling Pakistan "a major non-NATO ally."
Pure sarcasm on the part of this guy. LOL

4. Bush's fantasy
Let's throw ideology out the window. Bush's approach to Iraq is so bad and such an obvious failure that any honest person of any political stripe will say so.

Bush will be defeated in November and Iraq will be the reason. Those who vote against him will not be unified in what a solution should be, only in that Bush and his aides don't have one.

to deal with the enormous problems.
He advised Negroponte to wear a suit and a hat LOL.

14. This comment makes me start spitting tacks
anyone need their furniture upholstered? Wear chain-mail gloves covered in Styrofoam, hold the fabric taut and we'll get it done in MINUTES!

The level of violence in Iraq disturbs my every moment. How do I sleep well knowing that children are being terrorized EVERY NIGHT, doors kicked in, loved ones dragged out? How can I go about my "daily routine" feeling on a visceral level the suffering of my neighbors' families? What kind of shameless quisling could spout such a LIE? What kind of "4th Estate" would allow such a prevarication to go unchallenged? :argh: :argh: :argh:

12. One of the people asking question: called the "liberation" an absolute
mockery. This is an occupation.
There has been no relief, healing methods taken.
From the point of view from every Iraqi an impossible situation.

13. Another one: You are telling the neighbors (Syria and Iran) you
are next... but then you want THEIR COOPERATION??? You must be joking!!
Creating tensions, and saying you want to reduce the tensions???
