after her son's death, but was "bumped" by the Jessica Lynch story. When it appeared later, Moore was shown the article by one of his crew.

She's still patriotic, but now realizes one must question the actions of the government.

I'm almost speechless listening to this.

It may be one of the most meaningful moments in radio that I've ever heard. I'm blown away by this woman's courage.

I should hasten to say that I haven't yet seen the film, but had heard about her part in it.

They're talking about her son's early disillusionment w/ the invasion, starting in the Jan prior. The lack of consensus, and the cynical use of trumped allegations by the admin as justification.

She says how she gets strength from the fact that her story has brought grown men to tears.

Shot down the charge that MM has taken advantage of her loss for his own devises. Says he couldn't have been more sensitive to her emotional needs.

I think Franken's proving what a real human being he is.

is how gentle and soft-spoken she is. Contrast that to the rightwing radio and tv personalities who just rage and talk over everyone. This is one classy lady and they would call her anti-American. She has every right to be angry and loud, yet, she's calm and composed and kind, even to those who would criticize her.

She's appalled that he didn't know how many had died in Iraq when questioned by the senate. She mentioned the latest figure of 858, and choked up when saying 3 more mothers just yesterday had to go through what she's been through. "Ask me, I know" she says about what it's like.

If there's this much emotion coming through an internet stream, I can only imagine the impact the film has.
