Is that Hitler image still on the George Bush site?
A co-worker wants proof before he backpedals and says says "yes, it's there, *but*..."

Any help with a link to the location on the site or an archived copy of the ad?

Thanks!

1. I saw the commercial a little differently
I thought it rocked, because it was great to hear the Dems fired up. Other than that, I thought that the Hitler references were just an attempt to show that some Dem factions (contest entrant at Move.on that they made such a huge goddamn deal about) were comparing The GOP to Hitler, therefore driving the point home that Democrats are "negative," or whatever the point of the stupid ad was supposed to be.

But I hear some Dems saying that they were trying to compare the Dems to Hitler. Am I missing something?

4. You're right, but...
they're, I think, also using a clever tactic. They would never air an ad that showed Hitler and Bush unless there was a sublimanable (sic) message they could throw in too.

This shows how desperate they are, and how polarized things are, that two independent guys enter ads in an independent competition end up with thier films in a Republican attack ad. Geesh.

5. Is the opening disclaimer new?
or was it always there? Is this their answer to the requests to remove the ad?

"The following video contains remarks made by and images from ads sponsored by Kerry supporters.

John Kerry has denounced our use of these ads attacking the President.

He has not denounced liberal supporters like Al Gore, George Soros and many others who have made speeches comparing the President to Adolph Hitler."

and, yes, the video is still there.

The video, a Very unflattering video capture of Al Gore and an accompanying article can also be found here:

7. The disclaimer is new. . .
But I don't see Bush separating himself from the people like Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, and so on that compare the entire American left to everything from traitors to nazis to psychopaths bent on the destruction of America.
