"When Halliburton succeeds, Iraq progresses!"
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 05:50 PM by plastic_turkeys
"Sadly, some people don't want either."--- Halliburton's answer to audit that describes Halliburton employees living in 5-star hotels, buying gold-plated equipment, needless CD players and other high-end options in SUV's that employees don't need. NBC nightly news.

----
Jun. 30--WASHINGTON -- Auditors looking into hefty charges rung up by Halliburton Co. and others at a beachfront hotel in Kuwait chastised the Coalition Provisional Authority for failing to better control costs. The authority's inspector general, examining $11 million in charges being incurred annually at the five-star Kuwait Hilton, said the Provisional Authority "did not apply adequate oversight to ensure that operating costs were minimized."

"Three independent auditors have now looked into Halliburton's billing practices...

"They have all reached the same conclusion: The administration has given Halliburton a blank check to overcharge the taxpayer," Waxman said.

4. That's Haliburton's way of saying "Cheney off."
$45 for a case of soft drinks, $100 for one load of laundry, ad nauseum.

7. $100 per load of laundry!
And from what I understand, the laundry detergent tabs I sent in a care package to a soldier are divvied up between several soldiers who wash their communal laundry in a Cheneying plastic zip-lock bag.

8. Free enterprise! Don't you want business to succeed?
Meanwhile people in the US (remember OUR country, Mr. Cheney?) can't put food on the table.

10. And don't be asking about that missing $20BB that the CPA
can't account for. I wonder if Bremer has a new career beginning as an investment banker, maybe at Riggs Bank? It will indeed be interesting to see where he lands....

6. My answer to Halliburton: Go Cheney yourself.
My God they charged the government $45.00 per case of pop, $100.00 for 15 lbs of laundry? And they have the nerve to say that this criticism is political? We're definitely through the looking glass, people.

HALLIBURTON, ET AL, GO CHENEY YOURSELVES!!!!
