Did any one see Lott on CNN this morning?
(Went trolling for a transcript but didn't see it yet.)

Getting ready for work this morning, I saw and overheard Anderson Cooper was interviewing the Mississippi hair helmet about the Senate's report released last week. He kept asking the question, "Do you think that the vote would have been the same knowing then that the intelligence was shaky?" After 3 or 4 times Lott snapped "Anderson, my advice to you is to back off. We don't need this kind of talk undermining our our troops serving in Iraq." (or something to that effect)

I'm so sick and tired of the chickenhawks who think they own the monopoly on patriotism. I'm tired of being accused of not supporting the troops simply because I'm a liberal. I'm tired of being called anti-American simply because I'm not wearing the brown shirt and I believe in holding our elected officials to account. They work for ME, dammit, and those who aren't performing their jobs satisfactorily are going to be canned this November.

1. He should have snapped back: Sen. Lott, you 'back off' throwing our
troops in harms way based on lies and deceit is and continuing with the deceit is not "supporting" them.

5. Actually Lott told Andersen Cooper to "just drop it"....
In otherwords, back off, leave it alone, don't even bring up this subject, blah, blah, blah. Then, as you say, he went on to cry and whine about how any dissent at this time will harm the troops... like he REALLY supports the troops. If he did he'd want to bring them home from this misguided fiasco.

Scum-sucking Lott at his usual base level. Disgustipating Rethug! :grr:

7. I knew it was something like that... it was on in the background.
I guess all that military service Lott had gives him credibility in saying what harms morale...

wait..whoops... that's right... he served as a cheerleader for Ole Miss. Damn it must've been tough cheering in those polyester/wool pants.

8. During the Vietnam War, Sen Lott was busy cheering the
Ole Miss Rebels, waving his rebel flag willy nilly, while many of his fellow Mississippians (many poor and black) were dying in the rice paddies.

9. I smacked the crap out of a guy last week...
Verbally, that is.

I do stand up comedy every now and again and was doing a set last week. Most of my material is political.

Anyway, I did some stuff re: the war and some idiot heckled me by saying you can't be against the war and for the troops.

Luckily, I came up with the following (on stage, no less. My finest moment of improv to date):

"Bullshit. Ask any poor fucking bastard riding around Fallujah in a Goddamned Humvee. I guarantee you, there's a real good chance that guy is very much pro-troops, anti-war."

That didn't shut him up, unfortunately. But I was quite happy with it and most of the crowd liked it too.

I wish somebody with a larger audience would say the same thing.

By the way, this joke is mine. I hereby copyright it! All instances of its use must be credited to me; a check for 25 cents should be forwarded to me for each instance of its use. Ex post facto, ad hominem and shit.

I'm strictly an amateur. I perform mostly to get out of the house, when I feel like my head will explode if I don't talk about politics, etc. God love her, my wife, she cares not for politics.

10. Did anyone see the Kerry / Edwards thing implying they're gay?
I don't know where the clip came from but it made me sick to see the whores yukking it up over it.

16. With all those kids running around, I don't think anyone
except the most dense freeper would think that. Also, it points out how homophobic the right wing is and how insensitive they are to gay Americans by alluding to this even when in jest.

Are you reading this Jay Leno?

You are an insensitive, homophobic prick.

17. Was that clip from Leno?
I know it's utter crap, but what got me was that it was replayed on CNN while I'm flipping channels eating breakfast... can't remember if it was CNN or Headline News, but the whores had a great time yukking it up. !!!!!

18. I didn't see the particular clip you were alluding to but the
Leno clip has been played over and over again by all the TV media since last week. That's why I mentioned it.
