the investigation is now winding up to see which White House traitors were
responsible. Even George Bush has hired a lawyer-- James E. Sharp. The
fun fact today is that Sharp is also one of the lawyers hired by Bush's
good buddy Ken Lay of Enron fame. Small world, isn't it?

1. eh, there are only so many lawyers who play at this level

and you cross pollinate all the time. Look at Plato Cacheris, who has represented Aldrich Ames, Fawn Hall, Monica Lewinsky, Robert Hanssen and Jim Dunning (a local sherrif accused of killing his wife.

They all do it, if your back is to the wall, and you can write the checks, there are a few guys you want on your side, James Sharp is one of them.

The significance of this is not that it indicates a Lay/Bush connection. In fact if the cases were connected Sharp would not be allowed to represent both of them, due to conflict of interest rules. It's significant in that you hire this guy if you think you might be in deep doo-doo
