Don't hear much about conquering Syria or Iran anymore....
I remember seeing some threads about CIA operatives in Iran stirring up rebellion, and apparently Rumfilled is trying to provoke Iran by setting up border guards INSIDE Iranian territory...but I don't hear much talk about conquering the other PNAC targets these days.

Is the PNAC agenda being derailed with the media finally having to report that the pretexts for the invasion of Iraq were fabricated?

Anyone hear from PNACer William Kristol lately? He's been pretty quiet too.......

Maybe this is a silver lining of sorts...while the cockroaches in this administration scurry around trying to get out of the light of truth they will be too busy to conquer other countries.

1. They put their conquest on hold
I think Liberia has gotten in the way when you have a nation actually asking an pleading for US military intervention.

Oh, Ya, all their information manipulation and lying is starting to be hyped in the media.

They are on hold, cause they have to save their own skin in the short term.

6. notice that the rug-eating RWers like Ann Coulter are opposed
to sending troops to Liberia (unlike Iraq) My mind sort of wanders around why? Could it be because they are Black Africans? Or would that mean the Shmanter is even more racist than we thought? Liberia is also not "swimming in a sea of oil," or perhaps the she-Mann would change her tune.

Me, I think if some poor oppressed people are BEGGING us for help, we ought to get with the UN and see what we can do short of invasion. Nobody but the craven Chalabi was BEGGING us to stop the bloodshed in Iraq, as I recall--specially since our unilateral (that is, non-UN) sanctions had caused a big chunk of it!

3. The PNAC painted a VERY rosy picture ....
of Life in a POST war Iraq ....

Something about flower tossing Iraqis welcoming US Military with tea and crumpets, and wrapping laurels around each and every american brow ...

EVERY assertion they have made, from a "cakewalk' invasion to a placid compliant Iraqi populace, has turned to shit .....

HOPEFULLY .. hopefully: .. Poppy and Uncle Brent has straightened out their boy about them AEI/PNAC fellers .....

5. Not going according to Perle's plan....
Their attempts to revise history (while Chimp accuses his detractors of same) are not going too well.....too many videos floating around of their absolute and definitive statements of how easy and smart and neat this would all be.

One can only hope, as stupid as Bush* is, that, having been hit upside the head by a big stick, he has figured out the PNAC crowd is completely fucking bonkers.

7. Last evening on NPR... clip of Rummy in front of congress
goes on for a little while about Iranian soldiers coming across about a 10 mile area into Iraq... and that the Iranians need to learn "to respect borders".

About a week ago Powell once again said something threatening towards Iran.

I think they have toned down their rhetoric, but it is still there. Subtle but consistent. They are still laying the american-public-psyche groundwork. They have just gone, for now, covert.
