Folks it looks like Obama is dominating front pages across America
I download 47 front pages from across America that I found at newseum.org (an awesome site). I am going to share just a handful. While we all know and the pundits are saying Obama is the next big thing I think the front pages say it all!

I purposely did not include Illinois papers because we know he owns them!

3. He was on my front page too
but the NY Post knows what's really important

I think it is the only paper in America with no mention of the convention on its front page!

4. I was born three years after MLK was murdered

But last night I felt like I was watching the MLK of my time. Obama is an amazing human being. Last night's speech was perhaps the most powerful speech I have ever heard, and that comes from someone who would take a bullet for Bill Clinton.

I can't wait to get my paws on Obama's book.

9. Ignore Chicago if you want, but this...
Is from the right-wing Chicago Tribune. Note that it is a REAL editorial, not an op-ed piece. After writing this, will the Trib endorse a Democrat (for the 1st time I can recall)?

The Phenom

There's nothing sadder in baseball than the can't-miss kid who misses. He's a lefty who throws 94 miles an hour in Triple A. He comes up to the bigs and he can't find the plate. He throws out his arm. He kicks around the minors for a few more years. He's gone.

That's about all the Republicans in Illinois have left to pray for, that Barack Obama is a can't-miss kid who misses. But from the way he's conducting himself at the Democratic Convention, the Republicans really don't have a prayer. Obama's handling all the attention like a pro.

Nevertheless, Obama delivered a brilliant, passionate and heartening speech.

A year and a half ago the Republicans looked like a party that had some work to do.

Now they just look lost.

And the Democrats look like they have a pro, a can't-miss kid.

10. I hope you understand while I was ignoring Chicago in this thread. . .
. . .I wanted to demonstrate how he was making headlines outside of the state. I saw that editorial earlier today and I was going to post it, but you beat me to it.

12. Akron Beacon Journal had him too.
His picture and the headline took up 60 percent of the above fold.

Two other stories were in the same box as his pic (under the fold); about 40 percent of the front page (picture was huge).

Rest of the paper was other articles, but the largest above-the-fold story was about FirstEnergy trying to settle lawsuits.

Of course, the Akron Clear Channel (98.1) station Bush morning cheerleader mentioned about a Lifestyles article buried in the paper, and told his listening audience (sheep) to ignore the front page, since "it's full of liberal left-wing propaganda".

Wonder how many people who listen to their station will admit seeing through that pap?
