What really happened to Bush in that elementary classroom on 9/11
What happened to Bush happens all the time in the world of nature:

In the plant world, Mimosa Pudica (the sensitive plant) displays behaviors similar to what Bush displayed on 9/11:

before (happy, chirpy shrub)

<snip>
The leaves fold up when touched. If touched with a bit more force, the petioles will also bend at their pulvinis and the leaves droop. These movements are called seismonastic movements (reaction to physical shock)...

Delicate fern-like leaves quickly fold up and droop when touched. They return to their usual bushy appearance after a short time. http://www.plantoftheweek.org/week147.shtml

after (quivering and flaccid)

Here is another example from the animal kingdom: The Opossum in the headlights reaction is again very similar to Bush's reaction to news of the second plane crashing into the towers.

note similarity to fetal position assumed by Bush on 9/11

<snip>
When threatened, opossums will exhibit behaviors like running, growling, belching, urinating and even defecating. Sometimes they will "play 'possum." and roll over, become stiff, drool, and their breathing will become slow and shallow. This coma-like state can last up to four hours Some predators will think the opossum is dead and go away.
http://www.nhptv.org/natureworks/opossum.htm

The state Bush may have visited on that day:
<snip>
The catatonic state of awareness is when our consciousness detaches and transfers itself from our physical body to our etheric body (but not yet in the astral body). However, the etheric body is still considerably attached to the physical, and has most of the "control".
Clinical psychologists call this Sleep Paralysis...

One is immobile because the abilities are no longer with the physical. Thus one can "see" through closed eyelids because one is seeing in the etheric body. Physical "muscles" don't work because consciousness is no longer sending conscious signals to the physical body. Since the etheric is also known as the electromagnetic body, one can hear radio waves and people on the lower planes. Another common side effect is the inability to move (again, because one is not completely attached to the physical body so one cannot scream, move, or anything of a physical nature). It's like having a mind, and no body. This can be a terrifying state....

1. LOL...
sometimes we have to look to the the natural world that surrounds us in order to explain mysterious and unknowable phenomena.

2. hey, i get sleep paralysis on occassion
it's a physical condition, not a psychological one. once a year or so, in the morning when i wake up, my consciousness wakes up but my body is still in a sleep state. i can't consciously control my breathing, though it is still working at its usual, slow, autonomic, sleep-state pace. it's TERRIFYING, because you want to take a deep breath, but you can't, so you feel like you're not getting enough air, and yet you are...

i actually can control my eyes, but that's it. if something touches me, my body will wake up. once my cat came right up to my face and started sniffing. this was very scary, because while i knew my cat wouldn't harm me, i was nevertheless paralyzed and was completely defenseless. my cat never did this (as far as i know) except on this one occassion, so i think he knew something weird was going on. after what seemed like an eternity, he finally touched his nose to mine and i BOLTED awake. scared the CRAP out of poor kitty kat.

people often suggest that i'm actually just plain sleeping, but dreaming that i'm awake and paralyzed. this is actually a very plausible theory, but it just happens to be wrong in my case. i know this because i can tell people what happened while i was 'sleeping'. once when i was a kid, my mother came into my room and folded clothes and did a few other things. i saw it all, but couldn't move. when i finally woke up fully, with a start, my mother insisted that i just had a bad dream. then i proceeded to tell her every little thing she had done in my room for the past 5 minutes....

not that any of this has anything to do with shrub and the 7 minutes of gross negligence on 9/11....

3. "sleeping, but dreaming that i'm awake"
You don't know how many times in the last few years, I have actually hoped this were the case. Alas, Bush is always there when I turn on DU.

7. Not A Dream! Hypnopompic State.

What happens, physiologically, is that the body and brain (specifically the movement centers) disconnect in the sleep state. Why? So we don't thrash aimlessly in our sleep! The mechanism isn't as foolproof in dogs and cats, You can see their paws twitch as they 'run' in their dreams. Our brains sometimes get the wake-sequence backward and we wake before the connection to movement centers is restored.

The best way to combat it is not to struggle. Just lie quietly and wait. The ability to move WILL return! It's kind of like waiting until the system reboots when you power up your PC. You can't get the Internet browser to load until Windows is through powering up and checking itself.

Wait until your body "comes on line" and you'll be fine.

22. That used to happen to me in college
after drinking too much cheap bourban (JW Dant charcoal perfected Bourban). We called it the paralyzer because you didn't get a hang over in the morning but when you tried to move, you couldn't for several minutes. It was the scariest thing.

34. That happens to me sometimes too....
...Seems like AGES before you can move again. The thing that sucks is the creepy feeling you get....like an ominous presence in the room....even though no one is there. I thought for a while that I may have narcolepsy...but i've never experienced anything beyond the sleep paralysis.

24. Yeah, probably waiting to see who was going to step in and bail him out
THIS time. It's always happened that way before. Why should this be any different? Throughout his life. The pattern's always been the same. He screws something up. Dad or one of Dad's friends would step forward and bail him out. So whose turn is it, this time? Jim Baker? Bandar Bush? I'm waiting, guys. Uh. Hello? I'm here! I'm waiting! I'm ready! Who's helping me out here? Anybody? Dad? Mom? jeb? kkkarl? Okay! Time to help out yer old pal, george! A friend in need, is - uh - you know - eh - how's that saying go again? Uh...

5. The "leader" needed to be led.
He didn't know what to do, so he did nothing. And I guarantee that instead of thinking what he should be doing right then to protect the country, he was thinking about how this would cost him the next election. It's all about Dumbya.

So, he sat there until they came to tell him to do something, anything. Call Cheney, get on your plane, get moving, just do something.

8. Has Bush read to a single other classroom full of kids again since 911?
Just seems like a staged event to me. Look at the warm cuddly thing the president of the United States was doing when 911 happened. The timing didn't go right and the little bastard didn't know what to do.

11. Smoking something resembling the second pic?
All kidding aside, Bill Maher said it best on Larry King's show that Bush choked. Yes indeed - HE CHOKED! Panicked because he didn't know what to do. He was lost.

How do you think Clinton or Kerry would have handled it?

Better yet, how did the many members of Congress react?

28. It's not that he didn't know what to do

The look on his face is not one of shock, but of GUILT. He was afraid of getting caught. "Is the lapdog media REALLY in our pockets?" he was wondering. "Can we REALLY trust them to continue to suck up to my illegitimate administration?"

Remember, they had supposedly been getting warnings from all sorts of foreign intelligence services. And the $hrubster himself had made special plans two months earlier just in case terra-ists would be aiming airplanes at his a$$ while he was at the economic summit in Milan. So it's not like Mr. "Deer in the Headlights" wasn't expecting this sort of thing.

What's more damning is that he went into the classroom knowing full well about the first attack, and after he was supposedly (and I emphasize "supposedly") told of the SECOND attack, no one, including none of bu$h's people, acted with any sense of urgency. If they had been caught completely by surprise, and they wanated a REAL leader to call the shots, someone would have dragged his a$$ out of there immediately.

Finally, remember that he and Snarling Dick did everything they could to thwart the investigation while the memory of the attacks was still fresh, and while the scrap from the WTC was still in the US. What's more, when an investigation became inevitable, they insisted on selecting the "independent" members, and even went so far as having the so-called "president" provide "testimony" in front of his own hand-picked committee while having his hand lovingly held by the "vice president".

junior's face portrayed a man in deep thought of the future, not in shock or surprised of the news that the World Trade Center had just been hit.

junior knew that his time had come to rally America against an evil force.
