Did anyone see Susan Estrich debate Bill O Reiley on abortion?
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 08:59 PM by DaveSZ
I'm a bit on the fence on that issue, but I was very impressed with her the other day.

:)

I think ultimately no woman wants to have an abortion, and I'm sure it's a difficult experience.

Actually they were arguing about a t-shirt that said, "I had an abortion," and not abortion specifically.

1. You have to be very smart to be president of the Harvard Law Review!

4. No woman wants an abortion
but to not mention men's responsibility in this is also wrong. It is not just women who make babies. It takes a male and a female.

5. "I heard that O'Reilly was pro-choice."
He may indeed be.

Rather he was railing against a t shirt that said, "I had an abortion."

I just thought it was great how she was so candid.

6. No Way O'Reilly Is Pro-Choice
He seemed to be in favor of John Kerry and other pro-choice Catholic politicians being denied communion.

Plus, during the conversation with Estrich, he called abortion a "civil rights" issue. And I highly doubt that he was talking about the civil rights of the woman.

7. O'Reilly is whatever the ratings
say he should be. If his show was at the bottom of the ratings he'd be changing his tune. He really needs another Peabody, I mean Polk...
