Have you noticed how GOOD LOOKING Kerry is since the convention?

He is acting really self-assured, confident... and with a very positive and nice expression on his face. I watched the little snippets from his rallies today, and I was impressed.

4. You're right.
I have a theory on that.

Now that he's given " perhaps the most important speech of his lifetime," he can relax a bit, and it's showing. The polls are looking good, the party is united and energized, the Chimp's $80 million+ of ads haven't stuck, the country is sour on the Chimp.. Kerry has a lot to be feeling good about right now.

12. I also think Edwards lifts him up - Edwards and
Elizabeth both are very up people and it seems to have rubbed off on Kerry. Teresa also seems like she enjoys their company.

5. Yeah, the botox really did the trick
Seriously, though, you're right. He's vastly more relaxed in manner, he's smiling more, he can't be getting much sleep but he seems much more rested-I have a (not exactly logical) theory that it's tied to the growing momentum of his campaign.

8. today in PA he looked as relaxed as I've seen him
caught some of his speech on CNN and was very impressed ... he was walking around the stage in a very relaxed manner, really connecting with the crowd, going off-script in a few occasions to great effect, and seemed to really be enjoying talking to the people ... I do think a good bit of that can be attributed to having the stress of the convention behind him and I think he will only get better (having a master of reaching the people like John Edwards traveling with him doesn't hurt either)

10. Was it Vanessa Kerry that said they joke about his hair?

11. I think he had a moment of clarity in which he embraced his ability to win
Self-confidence can make anyone look better.

From the Kerry campaign e-mail sent out yesterday:

Last night I began my general election campaign for president. And now I feel like I am back at that first campaign meeting again. Only this time, I am not talking to 30 initial supporters in a tiny storefront office, but to one and a half million people in an email.

Some of you, again, are old friends. But most of you I've never met in person. Nearly half a million of you walked into our virtual campaign office in the last several weeks. I know you are people -- just like in that first campaign -- who see it's time for a change and want to do something to make it happen.

Once again, it's you who have convinced me that this is a campaign we can win -- no matter how many forces are assembled against us. When I decided to run for president almost a year ago, I never imagined how big this campaign would become -- or how determined people like you would be to stand up to George Bush and lead America in a new direction. George Bush has raised $220 million dollars -- for his primary campaign alone. He spent most of that money to try to mislead Americans about my record and my life.

But those of you who joined my campaign early on stepped forward to do something that's never happened in presidential politics before: you went toe-to-toe with the special interests, toe-to-toe with Bush's 924 "Pioneer" and "Ranger" corporate fundraisers. You contributed an astonishing $195 million dollars. You enabled us to campaign just as aggressively and just as broadly as George Bush. Without you, we'd have our backs to the wall and people would be talking about our campaign being no match for a strong, heavily-funded Bush juggernaut. Instead, we're kicking off the general election from a position of incredible strength. Nothing like this has ever happened before.

13. Let me tell you ... when I saw him (and the crew) in Harrisburg ...
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 12:05 AM by gauguin57
... at a rally yesterday, he looked really handsome! It was dusk, the Capitol dome was beautifully lit up behind the stage, and all those beautiful people hit the stage ... Both candidates, their wives and their kids and Ben Affleck -- you just cannot believe how attractive they all looked. The lights for the TV cameras shining on their shining, beautiful faces. All of them so comfortable in their own skin, comfy before a huge audience ... comfortable with a mic in their hand, talking about how they will rescue our faltering country.

That crowd was just plain in LOVE with Kerry and Edwards and their entourage. TRUE LOVE! TRUE, PASSIONATE LOVE!

GOD! They were so beautiful, just BEAUTIFUL. Except for the convention, I have not seen such a beautiful sight ... since January 19, 2001, when the Big Dog was still in the White House!
