I'm already talking with folks who aren't as steeped in politics as I am about the possibility of a fake attack. Many agree with me that they wouldn't put it past Shrub to do such a thing.

2. I think your scenario is quite plausible.

Especially come election day if it looks like Bush is losing. Perhaps an attack in the afternoon. Enough time to get results from East Coast voters and still enough time to disrupt the crucial West Coast votes. Perhaps something requiring "temporary" martial law and a suspension of the election for a time. Hmmmm....

3. Here's hoping that there are

some real American patriots in the myriad of alphabet agencies that if any of them catch wind of any homegrown plot or even a foreign hatched plot against the USA that they do everything they can to warn people of an impending attack. If there is another lihop in the works, lets hope that it can be exposed before it happens.
