1. A small business owner told me he was going to have close and move if Bush went back in office.

2. A nice restaurant with 6 customers crying about the economy

3. 3 women holding up signs begging for help with Health care for their Diabetic grandmother's surgery..IN A PARKING LOT IN TOWN !

4. several 18 wheelers running back curvy roads in residential areas and I can't figure that one out ! BIG RIGS..Off Highway and
more than five at any given time. Not State Roads.....

5. People talking against Bush........

6. A man playing his guitar for pennies after being laid off in a
Factory for 30 years.

This is a Republican Right winged town !

Kerry is a hunter for gawdsakes! At least Kerry is a responsible gun owner. Does anyone remember when Georgia Repuke, Bob Barr accidentally discharged a firearm inside a Washington DC residence?

I will look for the link ! Gun discharged but I thought he got hit.. in the foot ...Reports say otherwise..LOL
Irregardless..Playing with GUNS !

An antique .38-caliber pistol accidentally discharged as it was being handled by Rep. Bob Barr during a reception in his honor. The bullet hit a glass door, and no one was hurt.

Georgia lobbyist Bruce Widener said Tuesday that he had removed the magazine from his 1908 Colt but did not clear the chamber before handing the weapon to Barr, a board member of the National Rifle Association.

Widener said "one of us hit the trigger" just as he gave Barr the gun during Friday's reception at Widener's home.

20. IIRC from news reports (TV) at the time, it was in GA that it happened
and the reception was being held outside -- tho I'm not sure that Barr was outside when it happened.

7. Here's one.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/08/07/national/main517784.shtml

"Nobody was in any danger. We were handling it safely, except that it was loaded," said Widener, an independent lobbyist. "I am thankful Bob was careful to always keep the weapon pointed in a safe direction."

8. I have been hearing this
more and more. The last one was the guy who worked on my truck, he was OK with Kerry except he would not vote for him because of the gun thing. I talked to him about it, I gave him web addresses (what I could remember). He voted for Bush* but he hates him for being such a screw up and a liar but he got a mailing that said Kerry wanted his gun and he believes it. He would not tell me where the mailing came from, my guess is the RNC. I have not heard about the NRA doing this yet.

9. Rural areas and small towns have been terribly hurt by this regime
It follows reason, when plants close that support an area close and send jobs overseas or a WalMart or chain store moves in and causes closing of main street businesses, it is devastating.

12. This is what Zell Miller won't talk about on MTP this morning.
The citizens of his own state are suffering under this regime, and he is blind to it. Zell should be forced into retirement as well.

What I"d love to see is GA turn around and elect all Dems in spite of Miller's ugly RNC talking points.

13. Georgians found out that electing all Repubs doesn't cure things there
I have Repub in-laws in Georgia who for years spouted the line that all they needed to do was get Republicans elected to every position.
Now that Repubs are in control, they can't blame the Democrats for everything going wrong any more. Now these same relatives are complaining about the new SuperWalmart bulldozing down the road from them! I love it. (I took an evil pleasure from noticing that their gas prices have increased at what seems to be a higher clip than N.C. or S.C.)

14. How about some info on those trucks?
MArkings, owners etc.

Maybe collect some info and contact the highway patrol. Hell, post it here for the tin hat investigators. Anything unusual involving heavy transport, I think it's a legitimate concern.

15. I did too and yes no marking..I used to
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 09:45 AM by vetwife
be married to a trucker and the wierdest thing happened on one crooked road last night when I got pretty close, I have to admit I got nervous and all these trucks are plain ...No marking ...18 wheelers, one with emergency flashers going on when I went around him and he just sat there but I couldn't see what the tractor was, it was dusty dark but I tell you it made me nervous. On all of these trucks no markings like Yellow Freight, Walmart. Nothing..Plain trailers.........Nothing that I could see on the tractors either. Figured people would think I was freaking so I didn't do anything but 5 or 6 trucks being lost in one weekend on off state roads was a bit much. They were riding up and down these little crooked roads and I figured when I saw one, well there is no business here and maybe they are avoiding scales. But there are no weigh stations close. Then I figured, maybe they didn't bobtail, just came home with trailer too, then I thought lost, then Ithought..this is strange...Too many.....I am talking Tobacco road Roads no white lines. wish I had noticed if they were Freightliners, or Whites, or Macks. I do know this they all looked new and had sleepers ! And oddly were all white trailers !

27. Wackenhut specializes in security contracts. Government contracts
just a theory

http://www.pdxnorml.org/WACKEN.HUT.html

Wackenhut specializes in security contracts. Government contracts
are best, of course, and the company's remarkable growth is due on
no small part to George Wackenhut's relationship to certain
government officials. His first big break came when he secured a
contract to watch over Titan missile sites in four states. Since
then, security and public safety functions have proven a lucrative
focus. Wackenhut provides security guards for such high-risk
installations as the trans-Alaska pipelines, major airports both
in the United States and abroad, dams and the nuclear test site in
Nevada. It also owns a casualty reinsurance firm, a travel
service, and an airline services company. The Department of energy
provides 25% of Wackenhut's total gross. Their operatives also
serve friends of the U. S. Govt. and Big Oil (like the fugitive
Shah of Iran), abroad as well as at home.

29. When you think of Homeland Security....think Wackenhut
The Department of Homeland Security has a clear and efficient organizational structure with four divisions:

* Border and Transportation Security
* Emergency Preparedness and Response
* Chemical, Biological, Radiological and WMD
* Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection

The Department of Homeland Security mission is to:

* Prevent terrorist attacks within the U.S
* Reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism; and
* Minimize the damage from attacks that do occur.

When you think of Homeland Security....

Think Wackenhut Services, Inc.

16. A voter assured me
just yesterday that people who don't have health care have made choices to spend their money foolishly rather than on health care.

And another one said she couldn't stand the way Democrats operate and when I asked her why she was so fond of a 400 some billion dollar deficit she slammed her door in my face.

(I'm running for office and going door to door. What an amazing experience!)

24. If you read this right, it sounds like a Bob Dylan song:
"I saw a man playing his guitar for pennies after being laid off in a factory for 30 year." It's a hard, it's a hard, it's a haaaard, it's a harrrrrrrd, it's hard rain....gonna fall."

Let's hope it rains all over * and his campaign.
