George W Bush is a liar and a bullshitter. No American should believe that he has somehow transformed into a great leader. He is the same arrogant, no-nothing, no read, no study, ignorant person that bought and lied and cheated his way into the White House.

1. I don't understand why this doesn't resonate

as I lived in Texas while he was governor and he has a long record of STUPID things, not to mention being the most ignorant man on foreign affairs. Hell, he couldn't even name the president of Pakistan in an interview with Barbara Walters during the campaign in 2000.

Texas has a *weak governor* system. Governor shares power with a plural exectutive who may be from an opposing party. The Governor doesn't get to pick the Lt Governor, the voters do. (In 1994, Bush shared power with Bob Bullock, a DEMOCRAT)
