I saw the NWI report on TV. Stunning video out of Baghdad. It is horrible with MANY casualties. The reporter said it is absolute chaos in Bagdad. Thanks you drunken fucking chimp*... :(

5. Uh-oh

Besides this obviously being bad for the citizens of Iraq...this is clearly a horrible thing that happened...it's also bad for us. Bush and the associated religious nuts have been looking for any excuse to justify everything since 9/11 as a religious war from the perspective of the Arabs. The attacks on Christian churches will only energize the Fundies, and give BushCo another talking point. "It's Jihad, clearly, and they hate us for <our freedoms, no reason, Jesus-envy>" instead of it being about, oh, occupation and foreign policy.

Now instead of the discussion being about how Iraq clearly isn't any better off in the short-term, how we as Americans aren't safer, and how we're going to be stuck in Iraq with our soldiers and workers serving as little more than target practice, Bush is going to pass it all off as an attack on the Christian way of life.

When people die in Iraq, it's a positive for Bush. How fucked up is that?

so I guess for them, maybe the world isn't much better without Saddam in charge. But, we are after all "turning the corner"!
