About the Gallup Poll ....
.... Relax. Gallup always oversamples republican and republican leaning. Also it is too soon for any bounce to show up. The vaunted 17 point bounce for Clinton did not develop until a week later.

Check out rasmussenreports.com. It is showing the bounce developing. That's what we need.

1. Gallup probably had more Republicans in that sample than Democrats.
That would create a number like that.

2. For PAST reference of CNN/Gallup accuracy-- NOT
CNN/Time poll: Bush holds edge
From Keating Holland/CNN

Web posted at: 8:36 p.m. EDT (0036 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republican presidential nominee George W. Bush holds a 49-to-43 percent edge over Democratic rival Al Gore in the latest CNN/Time poll, conducted Wednesday and Thursday...

The poll of 2,060 adult Americans, including 1,076 likely voters, has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points and is thus in essential agreement with a CNN/USA Today/Gallup tracking poll also released Friday. That poll gives Bush a 52 percent-39 percent edge over Gore. More important, both polls show the same snapshot of the current state of the presidential campaign: a solid advantage for Bush...

4. I also heard Zogby last week say they wouldn't even start a poll
until over the weekend. He said initial results are not valid info and not worth bothering with.

I guess I've always trusted the Zogby info more than the others because they've been around for such a long time.

6. Even if we get such a bounce, it will never show up in most polls.
I firmly believe that we're not getting the true story about public opinion in any poll. Gallup is the most biased, but few to none produce honest results, imho. The coporate powers that be want a rightwing fascist government in place, and are doing everything in their power to ensure its survival.

7. Polled before Kerry's speech
"In a poll conducted Thursday and Friday..."

Corrupted polling:
Kerry didn't speak till Thursday night. Half the poll was before and half after, with the results lumped together.

The results are pretty meaningless.

8. Did you hear Wolf Biltzer??...
Oh holy creeping cripes & Christ!!! He made a point of saying that the Newsweek poll was done before the end of the convention and flat out said it was NOT accurate.

On the other hand, however, he said the CNN/Gallup poll was done AFTER (and says "I repeat, AFTER") the DNC and shows absolutely no bump whatsoever... implying that the Newsweek poll was inaccurate, whereas theirs was completely accurate and authentic.

Blitzer... you SCREAMING media whore! I really hope you get what you deserve some day... Oh Karma, come sooner than later!!! :grr: :argh:
