Sadly true.
This IS the republicans trump card. They can pull the 'terra' out of the hat anytime needed and shizzzam! they have the media by the horns.

This is a double-edged sword IMHO. He wants to play the 'Murica's-safer card, but it doesn't play well when terror alerts are issued a few days later. bush can't have it both ways.

I think Kerry would be wise to ask how we can be safer when DC is now orange. The media won't point out this contradiction, so the Dems must do it.

How can he claim that he's made us safer if we're going through all these terra alerts and talk of impending doom? This should be talking point #1 for us.
