Couldn't this idiotic "Alert" business blow up in Bush's face??
One - watch the stock market go falling through the floor with news that finance centers will be attacked. If he keeps yelling it for three months there won't be any economy for him to run on and Wall Street will contract with bin Laden to "remove Bush".

Second - obviously the common man who votes for republicans/Bush is not bright. No one with a mind votes against themselves. They are easily b.s'd into anything and manipulated with ease. If, come late October, he is screaming that they will kill us as we try to vote, it's his army of morons who will stay home hiding under the bed. Democrats are informed people who realize what the republicans and Bush are doing to this nation. They will be at the voting booth in droves.

Wouldn't it be divine justice, if the slimy little idiot supresses his own voter turnout!!?

1. I sent this (positive) email to CNN regarding Ridge's conference
I just wanted to thank CNN for showing the Tom Ridge press conference about the hightened terror alert. Had I not seen it, I might actually have taken this alert seriously, however, after watching it in its entirty it was clear this was nothing more than a political stump speech for his boss.

I'll rest easy, as with every previous terror alert, this is nothing more than yet another political move intended to scare the electorate into voting for Bush.

2. Yep ... not only the stock market ...
... there are a LOT of businesses in NYC and D.C. that rely on tourists. There will be a lot of scared Americans who won't want to go to NYC or D.C. if they think they're going to be blown up.

NYC tourist industry is STILL recovering from 9/11. Boy, this is going to make those people REAAALLLY happy!

4. I agree very much with #2. Since the shrubbots are less intelligent
and more sheeplike in mentality (hence their support of the shrub in the first place), they are more likely to be scared and stay home from the polls.

Problem is, they will try to skew alerts to big cities which tend to be both Dem and more the targets of real terrorism. Hmmm wonder if MIAMI CLEVELAND DETROIT will be among the targets, mmmmm?

9. It would actually be pretty amusing
if they tried to insinuate that Cleveland and Detroit were terror targets. Why would anyone attack either city? The days when either one was a strong economic engine for the US are long gone. Hell, both cities already look like bombs have hit huge swaths of 'em.

5. #3
I thought he said we were safer because he was running all over the world destroying the terrorists. He obviously isn't succeeding if we've got red alerts here on our own shores.

I am so furiously angry. They are just the most putrid, evil, slime.

6. Maybe they know the market is going to take a dive and instead of
accepting the blame, they can now blame in on them thar tarrists!
They have blamed the economy on 9/11! This would make sense, they know that the market is in bad shape (Oil prices at their highest) so they blame the dives (crash) on the terraists!
