get all your friends to stay home. this is especially for the people in NY and DC, but really, it would be fine to do everywhere. cite the terror threat, and don't go.

make them put their money where their mouth is. the republican party's financial backers will have them backpedalling faster than cheney can say "go fuck yourself."

1. Wait til the markets begin to react to this latest bit of "news"
once they begin falling--trust me, some terror "arrest" will be made and all the bad men will have gone away--til the next time * needs some press attention.

12. Maybe they staged this one to cover the down turn of the market that
they expect. With oil at its highest price ever and the polls showing * behind Kerry, the market will go down. Back market and bad ecomony hurt *'s campaign. They blame the economy on 9/11, why not blame the down turn on terraists?

2. hehehe a general strike of the financial workers! I like it!
and watch the market to drop like a stone Monday. The cabal must have some cash lying around they need to invest, so they issued a "terra alert" so they could get some bargains in the market

clever lil devils

6. Short sell Citigroup?
Wouldn't put it past them. Why not make two killings with one terralert. The Bushies are fucking animals.

As for me, I will go into Lower Manhattan tomorrow per usual, and get my work done. I like my job, and I don't like being manipulated by blockheaded idiots like Tom Ridge, much less lard-assed schemers like Karl Rove. Fuck them. We're New Yorkers, and we've had it with the bullshit. If al Qaeda wants to bring it - to quote another New Yorker, DMX - we right here...we ain't goin' anywhere, we right here....

14. Bullshit
That's the exact attitude Rove wants you to have. That plays right into their American jingoism, git them terrorists, America is tough like George Bush. I agree with the poster. If you want to make a point to this administration and their bullshit terrrorist alert propaganda, STAY HOME. That is what any responsible business would tell their employees if these threats were real.

15. Whatever, dawg
I'm going to work tomorrow in Lower Manhattan because I've had it, and so has everyone else I know. We ain't fucking afraid - oh, and we are voting against Bush (he has a 22% approval rating in NYC).

Where are you, by the way?

4. Brilliant. If the Rove strategy is fear ... let's see what fear gets them
If the financial employees in New York stay home tomorrow, the Republicans will be screaming!

5. I was really amused about the story of people not going to work.
I'll be watching the news tomorrow morning to see what happens.

I can tell you FOR SURE my Company would have said "You get your a** in here!"

I bet Prudential & Citi are doing backflips!

7. If you go to work, you might die. That's what their message seems to be.
It certainly would be safer to stay home.

9. Check the Asian stock and currency markets, too.
Ozzies and NZ open at 6 or 7 p.m., and the Japanese start at bit later.

11. This is a ploy to move John Kerry off the headlines.
Ridge thanks Pakistan in his remarks. Remember their heat on Pakistan to come up with an Al Qaeda arrest during the DNC? Got one, but didn't get much press. Had to amp up the fear. No timetable except between now and the election.

Employees at:

IMF
WOrld Bank
Prudential Financial
Citigroup Building
Stock Exchange Building

should stay home. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Americans should react to "fear itself."

13. Fuckin' A right
AND demand compensation for your time off. NOBODY should have to go to work if there's a legitimate, imminent terror threat. Fuck these rat bastards.
