Why do I feel like we are screwed?
The Bush administration is fear mongering again and even the great speech by Kerry is not showing up the way it should in the polls and the media is too busy trying to take down Kerry instead of trying to focus on real problems of the Bush administration.

Everyone says the media culture is a failure, the problem is that it has succeeded in brainwashing everybody thus far.

3. Post convention let down. Eat some chocolate, get rest

4. I just got done watching the McLaughlin Group
Everyone on that program including Buchanon and Tony Blankley said that the convention was great for Kerry and that he's driving the campaign right now.

In addition, did you see how weak-ass * looked yesterday during his speech? He came accross as tired and unconvincing.

5. Bottom line, GOTV
Dems vote, Dems win. That's the bottom line and has been since day one. Also, women vote, Dems win, and for whatever reason, women see right through George Bush and his blustering, egotistical, false bravado.

6. Capital Gang was good yesterday! Even that mean old Margaret
Carlson was singing Kerry's praises and highly complimented Al Gore for saying every vote must be counted (even though she highly insulted him in the 2000 campaign). Al Hunt and Mark Shields had a great time giving Novak a hard time when he said he missed hearing "Happy Days Are Here Again" at the Democratic Convention (what a joke)! I thought their show was very favorable to Kerry and Edwards!

7. Bush is the worst president in the history of the country
and a lot of people have noticed that, despite the whore press.

Just keep realizing that. Bush has hurt people and lied about it. Nearly everyone out there realizes his job is in jeopardy, vulnerable to cutbacks and outsourcing. Bush has done NOTHING to improve the economy, and people are recognizing this mroe every day. The more he touts rosy Enronned numbers, the more people realize what a liar he is.

Let the whore press continue to make itself irrelevant. People are waking up to their crap, too.

Were Bush an ordinarily corrupt GOP president, you might have cause for concern. However Bush is the Worst. President. Ever.

8. I'm used to weekend hysteria from the soap opera boards.
It's annoying as hell but I'm used to it.

Someone looking for a Ph.D. in psychology should study it.

10. It's working on you
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 02:26 PM by pbg
That's precisely the reaction they want from you.

We have to focus. We have to talk, we have to fight.

They want us to believe the American Public are apathetic idiots.

They're not, but it's not for want of their continued efforts.

They want to make the activists despair.

Eyes on the prize.

12. We have to talk to people one on one.
Most people don't watch conventions. Core supporters do. And Kerry and the whole convention really energized us core supporters. A lot of people who have voted Democratic all along are not loudly talking about how great it is to be a Democrat. That is a huge difference from past campaigns.

Remember, Republicans have never been in the majority. They've just had the majority of the pride and enthusiasm. This year, Democrats have the majority of the votes (as always) and the majority of the pride and enthusiasm.

11. Should have seen Kelly Wallce with morning on CNN--it was great
Her show was completely different. They made mention of "don't believe it when people say no one is interested in this election/politics, etc", and cut to a Kerry/Edwards rally where they estimated there were perhaps up to 10,000 people-----the camera panned back and their were people as far as the eye could see (reminded me of Gore's speech in Daly Square in Chicago in 2000). Then other shots that were like something from a rock concert...the people, the frenzy, unbelievable. Then she finally had to show a little bit of Bush stop. The camera was in close so you never saw the depth of the crowd and some reporter lamely saying that it was only a town of a couple thousand people anyway, etc. There were people cheering wildly at Kerry's words; and Bush was basically smirking to himself 'cause nobody could get it up for him. I think a lot more is going on than the pollsters and the whores know. You GO Kerry---You GO citizens and take back this country!!!!!!!!

13. The CNN poll shows such a disparity between registered voters
and likely voters that it has to be considered suspect. The other two polls, Zogby and Newsweek, have Kerry up 5 and 8.

I also love the post here about the size and energy of the Kerry-Edwards crowds. That shows the momentum we have on the ground.

14. The only time we've really been ahead was during the primary
when we went 'negative'. Kerry and Edwards need to stop playing shiney happy people and go NEGATIVE on Bush's ass.

15. I like your nick
Osama Bin Winnin. LOL:toast: Welcome to DU! I have to agree with you; optimism is great, but we will have to get negative. People "hate" negative ads, but they have been proven to work. When * is pounding Kerry 24/7, we need to atleast fight fire with fire.
