They just found out that, apparently, there's going to be some form of a gathering of Republicans in New York City.

Very unexpected.

Many will be scrambling just to find something to wear in time. So obviously there is no time to open it up to just ANY OLD BLOGGERS, they need to go and hand-pick bloggers. You know, because that's less time-intensive.

left wing talk show were all that were at the Demcon? The right wing pundits were about all they had on CNN and MSNBC that I couldn't stomach it and had to turn to C-Span for decent coverage. cnn and msnbc even cut speakers short so they could pan the speeches.
