Fidel Castro on CSPAN NOW--anyone know where he...
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 03:47 PM by libbygurl
...is giving this speech, oddly enough, analysing the "alcoholic personality" of W? Despite the controversial messenger, I think much of what he quotes by a certain Dr Frank from a book (title unknown to me) rings rther true about what we can glean about W's behavior. Am also wondering the reason for this sort of attack on W.

1. This is HILARIOUS!
Calling him a drunk. Talking about his diminished brain functions. Citing his diminished speech, lack of balance (falling off bicycles). Saying Bush claims to have been sober for more than 15 years. However, even recovering alcoholics often suffer lingering damage in their psychological ability to process new information.

He's giving a science lesson on alcoholism and linking this to Bush. LMFAO!

An imminent threat of hordes of Cuban Terrorists invading Miami and imposing universal health care like those rotten commies have in Cuba.

Go get the Chickenhawk, Fidel! Venceremos!

10. HA-ha-ha-ha-ha! Amazing things he's got to say about W...
...which, sadly, no one in the media here would touch with a hundred-foot pole.
Gotta thank Fidel AND CSPAN for this public service!

4. I've Wondered When World Leaders Would Speak Up
Not that there is any love lost for Castro around here, but I'm very much surprised that world leaders around the globe haven't spoken up about the moron in their midst.

9. President Castro, leading the way
Where does he find the time?

Isn't he busy forcing good schools on the Cuban people and their kids?

Isn't he busy forcing world class universal health care on the Cuban people?

Everyone knows that the peoples of poor nations need to have these things forced on them.

<sarcasm off>

8. Castro loves ridiculing W.
I mean, there's just so much fodder, it would be a shame to let it go to waste. I think the Cubans pity us.

12. Story here
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=5779442

SANTA CLARA, Cuba (Reuters) - Cuban leader Fidel Castro questioned President Bush's mental fitness on Monday and rejected as "lies and slanders" recent charges by the American that Cuba encourages sex tourism.

Addressing the nation on the anniversary of his initial guerrilla uprising 51 years ago, Castro portrayed Bush as a dangerous religious fundamentalist bent on destroying Cuban socialism. He accused Bush of exhibiting "strange behavior and bellicosity."

"Let's hope, in Cuba's case, God does not instruct Mr. Bush to attack our country," Castro said. "He had better check on any divine belligerent order by consulting the Pope."

17. Not just this topic either. Almost any subject
Cuban TV has talk shows called "Round Tables" every evening, where the guests from a wide range of studies discuss politics, economics, agrinomics, sciences, drugs, health, education, etc.. Pro and con. Real debate. No breaks for commercials, except pub service ads.

DUers dream of nightly TV debate shows like the Cubans have.

20. From all indications Bushco
wants to continue treating the Cuban people like pariahs. We all know Bushco is salivating with lust to attack Cuba. Afraid the world would rise up in horror and condemnation if Bushco took one Cuban life in their insane quest for world economic power and control.
