Quit all your NEGATIVE speculation!
What is with alot of you. You start rambling off with negative because a poll done by hack news network like CNN says Kerry had NO bounce? This is the same outfit that said Kerry fell 14 points behind shrub in NC after selecting Edwards, while mind you, everyone else had shown he increased his lead.

It really is a drag at times being in the same party with a bunch of whining fools!

A newbie posted these same words earlier and some jumped on him because a newbie errr...shouldn't say these types of things. How about a guy who's been around for 3 years, can he? The newbies minor mistake in his post was to make it sound like all DUers are whiners... I don't think he meant that. But I do agree with the gist and meaning of his post that indeed there are some whiny chicken littles here at DU.

2. Only negative speculation I'm doing is
that this terra alert is NOT for real, but for political purposes....and it was mounted because the Repukes know that polls are rigged and that Bush is toast.

3. Having a bad day?
Seriously though, I totally agree with you. Too much emphasis on freaking polls and negative reactions to them. ESPECIALLY a stupid CNN poll, when all the reliable ones are showing Kerry well ahead of the chimp.

(I do have a feeling a lot of the negativism is orchestrated and premeditated to produce a specific result here though, call me paranoid.)

5. In full agreement my friend
Look... Once you realize that DU has a nice percentage folks who disrupt with negativity, then you'll not let that bullshit rile you up.

Although I'm still learning myself on that one...

10. Oh really
I wine about assholes here at DU.... I whine about spinless Democrats who bitch each time a media Ho spouts bullshit and they come runnin here to DU to push the talking point. I whine about Naderites because I think they are the biggest fucking Morans on this planet. I whine about folks who tell me to get over myself because I can't reach through my computer monitor and choke them until they turn blue.

15. whoa
I dont think he is trying to curtail your opinion, I think he is just trying to put things in perspective. He is right, after the choice of Edwards they (gallup) did come out with a silly poll showing Kerry losing support in NC. Gallup also in 2000, just three weeks before the election had Bush leading by 13 points.

17. To begin with, I didn't express an opinion on the subject...
I'm just sick and tired of all the mother-hens on this board that think only they have the right to criticize other's posts. If someone wanted to take this newbie poster to task for generalizing, then more power to them. The new poster could either change to the criticism or ignore it. We don't need some too-big-for-his-britches poster to then make a new post lecturing the rest of us about "whining", although it is a subject in which they have some expertise.

18. So, you're good with all the negativism then?
And feel justified to tell someone to get the fuck over himself when all he is doing is expressing a VERY valid opinion about the negativism? Sheesh. :eyes:

without telling the rest of us how to think. If someone has a quibble with a post, then by all means take it up on the thread, just don't make generalizations for or about the rest of us.

7. I agree
I don't have the number of posts, but I've been around here for awhile too. I've also been involved in politics for about 30 years. Sometimes it's hard to come to DU and see all the panic and negative speculation about polls. My antidote is go visit The Emerging Democratic Majority. I've posted a link to this site (also known as Donkey Rising) and would suggest daily visits. It will help keep the polls in perspective.

And, as far as that Gallup poll goes, it shows a lead in RVs for Kerry.

9. Personally...I'm insulted
I am not a "newbie" and I asked a few times for clarification on the Gallup and Newsweek poll.

Also, I don't know where you have been in the last 35 five years of elections, but polls do count. If you do not know why, I suggest you do a little elementary reading on the subject.

And please do not insult me as to asking questions on polling and wanting clarification.

I mean Newsweek came out with a poll just yesterday showing Kerry up 52-44. Today CNN poll comes out showing mixed results. Why would I or anyone else put so much faith in either poll.

27. Well, first there's his hair.
I hear he uses Botox on it.
I think Nader uses a Flowbee, which is more honest and man-of-the-people.
Did he throw his medals over the fence?
Or just his ribbons?
Kerry, not Nader.
Nader keeps his medals in the glove compartment of his Corvair.
That's what I read somewhere.
I don't know if I can vote for a guy who only threw the RIBBONS over the fence.
I bet if W* had any medals he*d throw them across the Potomac like his dad did.
I'm pretty sure.
:silly:

28. I looked for that CNN poll earlier today but couldn't find it.
Does someone have a link?

I'm keeping a running spreadsheet of a lot of polls, so I sure would like that one in there (if it's a valid poll - I don't use those interactive CNN and MSNBC questionnaires on their websites).

Negative speculation is for losers.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/bush_vs_kerry_hth.html

Right wing pollsters always say they're winning.

If you average REPUTABLE polls, we are not only NOT LOSING, we are fucking WINNING!

Not to mention the electoral vote:
