14. Yes.
His power ot pardon is unrestrained. He can pardon himself, although not even Nixon was so brash as to do so.

Can pardons be overturned by the next President, or by an act of Congress?

18. my best guess is no...
because once someone is pardoned for a crime, they can't be retried for the same crime, that would be double jeopardy.

17. And how many of them will the next GOP president hire ?
dumbya* has people in his admin that were pardoned on xmas eve 1992 by his father. Now what would happen if Hillary became president and even thought of hiring someone Bill had pardoned? You know what would happen. I still think this could be a campaign issue this year. How many of his daddy's pardonnees are in dumbya's* white house ? hmmmm?
That's restoring honor and dignity? More like restoring criminal bums.

22. Don't they have to be accused of a crime before being pardoned?
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 03:31 AM by nolabels
That really wasn't legal with the Ford / Nixon thing. How in the hell can you say of crimes he might of committed but have no charges as of yet. To me that smacks of complicity, aiding and abetting and a few others.

The only laws that really matter are the one's that help Rich people keep their money, everything else is secondary x(

On Edit: Damn typos :argh:
