The first thing Kerry has to do when he becomes President........
Is get something done about this UNFAIR AND BIASED media! I turned on the LOCAL news to see what they had to say about these rallies this week-end,and wouldn't you just know it,they had that damn CNN gallop poll and said Kerry didn't get much of a bounce...they showed him at the Zanesville,Ohio Rally which was massive....but then they just HAD to show the 20 or so bu$h supporters with their big signs protesting Kerry. When they showed the idiot in thief,it showed the crowd yelling and him grinning and waving but not one word about any protesters. This is the way it always is.....our side gets protested but EVERYBODY loves that freak of nature,bu$h. If something isn't done about the whore media,we are doomed. God,I am so pissed I could scream. :argh:

1. I agree
I'm reading 'The Republican Noise Machine' by Brock and I want to bang my head against the wall. This book should not be read by those with high blood pressure. :argh: :grr:

I'm going to put it down for tonight and watch episodes of 'Monk'. I need a laugh and a break.

2. Second thing:
Gala Guillotine Event on the Mall in DC Jan 22 2005, executing all members of the Bush Crime Family and Syndicate after summary trials following the inauguration.
(ha ha I've been drinking)

But you are very right about the Cheneying media -- we've gone from ridiculous and biased to stuff that reminds me of Soviet propaganda during the Cold War -- that everyone knows is laughably false .

That'd be a good start.

5. Bring the troops home,
release all prisoners who are being held on drug offenses, legalize drugs, take the money that is being spent on the prison industry and use it to fund college education---etc--but that would be a good start for day one.

12. That's right.
Bring 'em all home. Don't put them in harm's way for Haliburton.

6. He should immediate reinstate the Fairness Doctrine
Appoint Howard Dean as the new head of the FCC, and comission a "study" of the situation. Things would get fair and balanced REAL fast. In the meantime, contact your local station, call them on it, and boycott their advertisers!

15. Howard Dean - FCC
Now that is something I could really get behind. That is the exact perfect place for Howard Dean because there is no industry that needs more cleaning up than the media. And that is going to take a mouth that is willing to say anything to get the job done.

7. and somewhere in the top five . . .
rename the Department of Homeland Security to something, anything else . . . Domestic Security, Civil Defense, whatever . . . and then stop using the word "homeland" to refer to this country, permanently and forever . . .

13. Government control of the media is bad news for both sides....
If it can work in our favor, its can work against us as well.

14. bingo
I hate the corporate scum too - more than most even - but what's the solution - have government officers go through the scripts pre-broadcast? Media is a business and if people stop watching then they'll change their style -the answer is in educating the viewers not restricting the broadcasters

16. One solution is to break up the monopolies and limit ownership
The airwaves belong to the American public--the networks rent them through the FCC. We shouldn't have to wonder about a network's coverage because they're owned by an oil company or defense contractor.
