15 TV cameras on Bush during the Pet Goat incident
Repeated at least twice by David Drier on Real Time with Maher.

Really? Where's all that footage? I heard people had to dig hard and finally were able to get a videotape made by the school itself.

15 TV cameras? I believe it. It was a photo op after all.

15 cameras manned by 15 people, where are they?

Where is that footage?

2. I questioned that, too, when I saw "Real Time"...
The Republicans have to twist the truth or they would have nothing to say in their defense.

3. My favorite part was him trying to call MM on something in F-9/11
And then having to admit that he hadn't seen the movie.
At that point, I was like, who IS this guy.
Wingers can never stand up to democrats in head to head confrontations.

5. Drier is the same idiot

that once pointed to the Internet as a prime example of
"private industry" innovation and said that IF the federal
government had been involved, the internet would has cost
billions of dollars and be completely useless. This was
maybe 5 or 7 years ago.

6. Sweet Lord that was a good show!
And didn't you love all the jabs they threw at him about what constitutes a flip-flopper? Dreier taunted Moore with declarations that he was going to make Moore a republi-CON. And then, Moore hits back with "if I do, does that make me a flip-flopper?" The final one of these (I forget - four? Five?) you could tell Dreier was ready to send ashcroft after Moore. It was bee-you-tee-ful! He had it coming. BIGTIME.

7. Now, what purpose does calling this "fact" out serve? I mean, we haven't
seen any of the footage, so are we to assume its been destroyed because its "damning"? What gives? Why would Dreier be pushing that theory? :eyes:

8. yeah
wasn't it just one person with a personal camcorder anyway?

either way, other than for inquiring about those 7 minutes to the point of making the prick out for what he is, like much of the rest, someone whom can't be honest and say bush did something wrong, but instead will go to extreme lengths to argue an unwinnable debate no matter how it makes them look, maher did *not* do a very good job of calling him on things, such as commenting on a movie he didn't see.

and i wish he'd have called that colorado governor asshole, when he stated there were things in this country liberals have done to cause liberalism to be demonized........ where's the follow-up?

when someone comments on something they haven't seen, to the point of saying there was a lie and lying themselves about it in the process, call them on their bullshit host! when someone makes a comment such as that liberalism has been about some things which have caused 'proper' villification, a weighted contention which can carry pretty serious implications, follow up on it!

jebus....

and as much as bill maher appreciates free speech, i get sick of him shushing the audience when they boo..... hey, we know as an entertainer, you're probably not partial to them yourself, but hell, that's the audience's only real way of communicating *their* sentiments. why silence them? they have a right to communicate that as well, as part of the show. otherwise, just do like dennis miller has to, and have no audience other than the camera guys whom are cued to give the 'right' response.

oh, and i wish moore, or someone, would've caught his comment about seeing the first plane hit....... just like dubya said he did as well. these people are so full of shit, was there a private screening for republicans somewhere or something? i wonder, so many of them claim to have seen the first one on a screen somewhere......

9. Where is that footage?
We can only imagine the amount of raw footage from that day, either being held by the FBI or owned by the networks, that we will never get to see.

10. and where is the 20 minutes AFTER the 7 minutes of staring into space?
Michael Moore says that after the 7 zombie-like minutes in which Bush was in a trance and did nothing after being told the country was under attack, he spent another 20 minutes wrapping up his photo op by talking to the kids about the goat. Where's THAT video footage? I'd like to see Bush discussing a heroic goat for another 20 minutes while the Twin Towers and Pentagon burned.

11. Here's proof of the cameras
I'm not sure how many TV Stations were there, but there were quiet a few. I've posted these pics numerous times on DU before, but I never get much of a response. These pictures all come from Booker Elementary's photo gallery of Bu$h's 9-11 visit.

From what I can see in the pictures, it is clear that the following stations were on site: News 8, 10 News, and Fox 13 News.

In the three pics below it is apparent that there were a number of stations there broadcasting the event:

Here are a couple of pics from inside the classroom. In the first on I can see at least 9 cameras. A few of them are hi-res video TV cameras.

Here are the cameramen at work:

So where's all the footage from these crews. Why didn't the 9-11 Commission subpoena any of these videos. It might have answered a few questions, you would think?

20. That looks like the reading class to me
The other room they used was the Library, where W gave his press conference was much larger.

There are more pictures on the Booker website in their photo gallery. Funny thing, the last two pages have been deleted. There are no pictures of W, during the reading lesson. I assume those were in the two pages that are gone.

Here's a link to the website with more photos:

12. The unraveling of their lie won't come from a great revelation, but from
the corrosive effect of a thousand tiny revelations. In a wired world, contemporaneity is a dilemma for the wicked.

In other words, these fuckers couldn't have thought of everything.

17. Maher, Moore, Drier, My Pet Goat
Moore was simply priceless in his repeated taunts of 'would that make me a flip flopper?' We were screeching with laughter. Did anyone notice that at the end of the show when everyone makes nice, Drier had disappeared???

At one time, and Im gonna try like hell to find it, there was a GREAT web site that had a flash presentation, a split screen, of pretzel boy reading my pet goat, with a clock on bottom, the other side of the screen was the WTC burning and people jumping. It was amazingly riveting and sent a powerful image.

18. Last night, I saw the Pet Goat incident on Topic A w/ Tina Brown.
Very intriguing indeed. You can tell the look on his face that he knows something is very wrong but he's not sure what to do about it. Then later he goes on to lie about seeing the crash on TV and saying "that's some bad pilot".

Worse yet, he's pretty much gotten away with this shenanigan even though Gore got crucified for things he didn't even say, like inventing the internet. More has been made of that even though he never said or even implied such a thing. Funnier yet, he was helpful in getting the internet to come to being, though you would never know it from the media.

Here's my frustration

A Republican can be caught on tape stymied with indecision and then lie about what happened later but go unscathed for years (unit F911). Whilst a Democrat can actually do something good, try to point out his success and it gets turned into a big lie. He pays dearly for it and probably helps lose him the election. All I can say is that political corruption and dumbing down of the masses is at its mendacious stride these days.
