7. I am guessing that he did it to support people voting

that is his "out" but then he really made a name for himself portraying W. Perhaps he really is anti-Bush/pro-Kerry. On the day that the NY Post guessed wrong on Gephardt getting the VP nod apparently Ferrell was on The Today Show (read this on DU) and help up that day's Post and said "Real journalism" or something to that effect.

I remember right after W was coronated, Will was on SNL as W reading a speech. The speech began with, "Daddy, help me! I didn't think I was going to win!" I was LMAO.:D
