With Economy Tanking Financial Terrorist Hit would Be Perfect.
Then Bush* could blame the terrorists for the fucked up economy. Tie all his problems into those damn folks who hate us for our freedom. The perfect storm.

3. What's interesting on a state level here...
Is that the Repub frat boy idiot running for governor, Patrick Ballentine, has had to do the typical Repub thing of talking out of both sides of his mouth on the economy. He's complaining that the economy in North Carolina stinks because of Gov. Mike Easley, but "we're doing better" because of Dub. I just hope he keeps it up because it makes him look the part of, um, shall we say, a rather CONFUSED individual!:eyes:

B-)

4. My thoughts exactly...
If it wasn't for those goddamn terrorists and liberal sympathizers, everyone's 401k would be skyhigh right now.

Right now, the chimp knows voters are going to be quite disgusted that 3 out of the 4 years of his administration, the market tanked, and workers lost money in their 401k.

So we'll blame terrorism, oh, and don't forget to vote Republican!

5. Most Republicans blame the terrorists for the bad economy
this is from talking to many that I work with, thier point of view is that if not for 9/11, the economy would be roaring right now from the tax cuts. Never mind the utter and complete incompetance leading up to 9/11, the obsessive to the point of taking us into catastrophe in Iraq, the beligerent attitude towards the rest of the world which is undoubtedly intended to provoke and stoke the anger. So that "our enemies" will attack us providing the oh so necessary cover to bomb the crap out of something so that the President then looks "decisive" and doing what ever it takes to "defend America"

crazy?? tell me about it

6. End of the 1st 1/2 of the Oil Age

it's the best thing that we ever had, and it’s modern energy
that's created basically every aspect of our society today,
and unfortunately, there are still 5-billion people on earth
who are just starting to use modern energy, and this is a
bad time to say, “Oh, no, that era ended.”

The import of this single issue (the flight manifests) is far
greater than it appears.  The refusal to publish the
flight manifests cannot be explained by security
considerations.  The names of the dead passengers
were published shortly after the attacks.  The names and photographs of the alleged hijackers
appear prominently on
the FBI's website and have been cited innumerable times by
the media and in books.  The reluctance of the FBI to
publish these passenger lists suggests that they simply do
not include the names of the alleged perpetrators.
