Nader voter roundup (Who is voting for Kerry?)
Of all the people you know personally who voted for Ralph Nader in 2000, how many do you know are voting for Kerry for sure?

I can say that about half of the Naderites I know are voting Kerry, and that's in the non-competitive state of Texas.

4. I voted for Nader in 2000
and am for sure voting for Kerry this time. I've talked to a number of casual acquaintances who were also Nader voters last time. My impression is that the vast majority will be voting for Kerry this time.

There was one guy in my therapy group who voted Nader. At his last session before he quit I begged him to tell me he would vote for Kerry. He just kept saying that he would "vote his concience". I hope that his concience can live with another 4 years of Bush*.:grr:

The ironic thing is that he's not even very political, and doesn't strike me as being at all of a politically radical type. He's not young or naive either, I think he just doesn't really understand the stakes.

Other than that, my impression is that most people around here who voted for Nader in 2000 will vote for Kerry this time, and my particular area was kind of a hotbead of Nader voters last time.

That said, I'm not even sure that Nader will be on the ballot in my state, although some of those votes could end up going to Cobb.

5. Vote his conscience?!! Bwahahaha, what a crock of shit.
More like voting like an idiot, because you'll keep an idiot in the White House. But hey, If your conscience is a stupid fucking idiot, Then who am I to say? The level of arrogance of Bush and Nader and their supporters is equally staggering. Ignorant hubris.

11. I know lots of Greens...
but only one Naderite. He worked for me exactly four years ago yet I remember his dogma as if it were yesterday. "Democrats vs republicans - no difference". He left me to work on a Nader campaign in Oklahoma but I think of him now, and regret not being able to ask him what his thoughts are today.
