"My most Solomn Duty is to Protect America" sez the Shrub..today...
Did this start on Sept 12, 2001.............

...or,

did this start Right after Bush got sworn into office???

All this posturing after 9/11 only makes him foolish but he gets away with it cause the media lets him... its distraction and deception.

He was supposed to protect us from, DAY ONE, not after its too late.

He was told, he was warned, he was shown pictures, cartoons, drawings, maps, charts, essays, etc.....he was supposed to make America safer by informing the airlines to be more vigilant, etc.

Not a freaking Peep did we get outta him...

1. Ever since he was caught off guard on 9/11 he had to change
his tune. Prior to that nobody knew what the hell he was doing there and his poll numbers showed it.

4. Prior to the attack, he was on Vacation...watch my drive....
But..since taking office:

Bushes friends were taken on a NUKE SUB ride off Hawaii: Promptly managed to accidently kill some Japanese students and crew members.
The sub was surfacing in a rapid fashion like shooting out of the water as a whale does when breaching...it was show boating for the Texas Guests.....How humiliating....

A wayward spy plane gets caught in China and we had to negotiate its final release and crew. We got back our plane in friggen PIECES. How embarrassing.

He got Mass Mooned in Scandinavia for rejecting the Kyoto Accord...
more embarrassment...Bush is the Only President in the History of this Nation to get Mass MOONED.....extremely embarrassing...

Rejects results of Hart/Rudman Commission re preventing Terror attacks. His explanation, "We gonna go with the VP Cheney and HIS plan..."............ Post 9/11... amnesia sets in...

:We gonna get um, there is no place he(Osama) can hide:

Bushies Polls were near death....

"Damn, is it vacation time already"

"what ? another meeting? Dammit"

"Mr President, its about the terrorists, they are coming to America"

"Yeah, right, we heard that shit before....well, hurry it up, got a tee time to make......"

"Watch my drive"

2. really! I just saw this...couldn't watch cuz I thought I might puke.
Sure enough, just as everyone here at DU predicted, the DNC comes along and lo and behold, Shrubco takes to the stage with dire warnings and distractions.

Yeah how about some funding for soldiers and emergency workers, now that you got us into this mess and turned the world against us by giving everyone the finger 3 years ago.... etc etc etc.... you damn dirty liar.

"My solemn duty"---FEH!

8. The Pubs are SO expedient its pathetic....
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 12:07 PM by opihimoimoi
Safer...and yet Orange??? these guys are playing the FEAR CARD for their own agenda....its all a PLOY....

They know much of America is of the ReActionary mindset...not proactive..

So the pubs cater to re action....something happens, react to it...

Proactive prevention is rarely used....

I would guess we gonna get some kind of "Incident" soon...just to keep the Fear Factor Up. These Pubs are devious....

9. 20 minutes
Twenty fucking minutes. That's how long ol' dumbass sat in that classroom in Sarasota, Florida, knowing the country was under attack. Then he does this whole criss-cross the United States thing, as if to show that he was doing *something* to protect himself, if not the nealy 3000 people that died on that day.

Maybe if he actually *read* his memos, or anything else other than 'My Pet Goat', he might have been able to prevent the attacks... but us Americans aren't allowed to say that, are we?

10. Its exactly what we are saying, where was he prior to the attack?
Obviously, NOT PROTECTING AMERICA.......not a mention of it in all 8 months. Read Clarkes Book...it tells of how Bush Rejected the concept of upgrading security measures...and Condi Rice too. Its

MALFEASANCE of the worst degree....

11. I've read Clarke's book
though I don't have a copy with me now.

The only thing he gave a crap about after 9/11 was Iraq. Now he's got his war, and it's turning to shit by the second.

19. Yup, I agree. if the Coach loses too many games . like this one did,
its time for a new Coach... In this case, too much money, resources lost....not to mention lives and innocent victims of this Unholy War...

Bush blew it and he is trying to spin it that he didn't.... but he did blow it...and we all know it.

He should step aside for the sake of the Nation/World.

14. That's bullhockey.
If it's his job to keep this country safer, then why did he send thousands of our troops into Iraq? We weren't under any threat from them!

20. He sent the troops cause he thought he was John Wayne..become
a hero by giving them FREEDOM and DEmocracy even if they did not ask for it. If its so important we take out tyrants...there is a whole bunch he missed....and still exist... like in Sudan/Chap.

24. My thoughts exactly and
He has the nerve to say we are safer because that's what the 9/11 commission report says- a report that he never wanted to take place in the first place and fought and stalled and now he's paying attention?

Save me from these BOZOS. They give clowns a bad name.

Also, who noticed he can't even say AL QUEDA correctly?

He pronounced it, Al Kyeda, like yippeee kayee.

political tool! He has from 9/12/2001! The Rove crew including Bush, are a bunch of parasitic ghouls without souls! The 9/11 families have EVERY right to despise these NeoKKKons!
