I was sent these photos by someone who couldn't open them up and who asked me to do so and forward them back to him. They are from his young relative in Iraq. The soldier's comments are quite instructive (as are his choice of photos to send back home) as to the mindset of these poor kids we've sent over there.
I feel justified in posting these pics, since it is anonymous. I've never tried to post a photo before, so gimme a break if this doesn't work.
< MESSAGE FROM THE SOLDIER:
we r getting ready to be relieved by our marines coming over and there is so much that has to be done. Now im corporal so I have a big role in all that shit. Zero time for myself.
Plus the attacks have picked up. <\b> Mortars and patrols. Fun stuff though. Tell XXX I got a iraqi bayonet that I can take home. Pulled it off a body and cleaned it up. Its my war trophy.
