McClellan press briefing LIVE: "This is the third phase of reform"

"We're building upon the many reforms we've already put in place since September 11th."

Andy Card: Bush "went to the limits of his Constitutional authority" to create the Department of Homeland Security. Card continued, "I was kind of the cattle prod, keeping the people to the task at hand. The president has made decisions that are right for the country. The president has taken bold steps, of his own action, to build upon the great work that has already been done. Many of the recommendations build upon the work that is already being done through the good sense and hard work of the administration."

"Huge jurisdictional decisions that must be addressed by congress" so they will not be called back from their break "as Senator Kerry suggested."

"He took bold action, he took bold action, he took bold action" (Card bullet-points the visionary actions of Crusader Bush such as creating the Department of Homeland Security)

1. Let me see if I got this straight.
Card says: "I was kind of the cattle prod, keeping the people to the task at hand.... The president has taken bold steps, of his own action, to build upon the great work that has already been done."

Were these Card's ideas or Bush's ideas? Did the president have these ideas and need Card to get them run through? Why doesn't the president run these ideas through Congress?

3. On Card's statement, "the president has made decisions that are right for
the country". Wouldn't we know it intuitively? I mean, as human beings don't we most always know when something feels "right" or is "the right thing to do"?

Why in heavens do they have to constantly drill it into us that Georgie Boy did, has done, is doing, and will do the right thing for this country?

Why are there so many of us saying he has not done the right thing, he is not doing the right thing, he will not do the right thing?

He stole our votes. He lied about it. He lied about Yellow Cake from Niger and WMD in Iraq. He is not lying when he says he is not planning to lose elections 2004.

Why in heavens are there so many of us saying,"I can't stand to look at the man. I can't stand to hear his whinny voice. I can't take these Bush policies ... Why are there so many of us intuitively reacting so negatively to Bush, Powell, Rice, Cheney, POPPY TOO, NOT TO MENTION BABS, McClellan and all the rest?

Why are they not allowing us to think freely? speak freely? ask questions freely?

Why does Bush get in a huff when reporters who are trying to do a real job ask him questions that he does not know how to answer, does not want to answer truthfully, or are not the soft ball questions the reporters have been programmed to ask?

Why are dissenters locked in free-speech concentration camp zones? Aren't these a contradiction of terms? Free Speech. Out of Sight Concentration Camp Zones for Free Speech? If Bush drills into us often enough that he loves freedom of speech, that we live in a free country, that people are free to dissent, is he hoping we won't notice the iron curtain slowly rising inside of which he is trapping our freedoms? Why is Helen Thomas sent to the back of the room? Why
can't I buy the entire Bush-McClellan-Woodruff-Blitzer et al pack of wholesale lies?

Is anyone able to notice how he is keeping Kerry off message and out of the television tube by ratcheting up the Terror Alerts in our minds and our television screens along with visual images of terror combatants guarding buildings in New York City and Washington, D.C. Where will the next Bierkenau rise? New York City? Washington,D.C.?

Why is it that darkness cannot be drilled into light, that lies cannot be drilled into truth? Why isn't Bush just some bowlegged cowboy out in some Texas canteen drinking his paranoia away?

Why is the White House being stolen from the people? Why are Patriots being called traitors? Why aren't we calling him maximum traitor to the country, to our Constitution, to our civil liberties?
