Bounce shown on ABC news is slight but THERE!
The Massachusetts senator gained five to eight points among registered voters on issues and attributes alike, while Bush lost about as many. And after a convention that focused heavily on his military experience in Vietnam, Kerry leads Bush as "better qualified to be commander-in-chief," by 52 percent to 44 percent.

Sorry I couldn't post the pretty looking poll results in nice cilumns and color like on the ABC site. I just don't know how to do that.

2. The problem I see is that there was no change on security & war.
Look at the last 2 categories. No change! That's a problem.

I'm thinking that the only thing that is going to swing those opinions is what actually happens in Iraq and the US between now and Nov.

3. likely voters is already misleading
as it factors out the enormous numbers of new voters moveon, micahel morre, and etc are bringing to the cause

when that factor is adjusted, kerry will have an even bigger lead

4. If this is confirmed by Zogby tomorrow, what is CNN gonna say?
They have been blabbing ALL DAY that Kerry got NO bounce!

Are they actually going to have to swallow their ego?

5. I think the real issue...
...And we saw this in the last election, is not who is ahead, by how many points- but who is leading in ELECTORAL votes. And on that, every site I have seen that predicts them has Kerry ahead with 300-320 EV's (270 are needed to win the election). Based on that, I'd say that we're in fantastic shape. The states that were "close" for Kerry last week have opened up more this week- in NJ, he was up by 1 or 2 percent last week, now a new poll today shows him up by 10 in that state. So don't worry, things aren't as bad as the media would like for you to believe. It's far from over yet, but don't panic.
