1. If you do, you probably won't be able to draw your unemployment.
"Were you away from home three days or more?" is one of
the stoopid questions they ask.

3. Sorry to hear it
If you live in a swing state (like Ohio, Arizona, etc.), why not consider working for the Kerry campaign?

4. Volunteer At A Local Democratic Party Office...
It'll give you something very valuable you'll be doing while, hopefully finding a new job. These people need you far more than Kerry's campaign does and could open some doors for you closer to home. A good friend of mine just came back from Boston as a delegate...he got there starting out as a volunteer and now is one of the leaders of local party.

It's not sexy or glamorous...doing polling & canvassing, knocking on doors, making phone calls and what seems like endless days that seem to either never end or end too quickly. I had a great time when I worked on a campaign and hopefully I'll have more time in the future (no, not unemployed, retired) to do more campaign work in future elections.

I can't emphasize how important retaking the House is...that's what gives the GOOP a lot of their power and could be a major roadblock in Kerry Administration attempts to clean up the messes left behind by this regime. If you're in a "safe" district, I'm sure there's a less safe one within driving distance.

Good luck and here's hoping you find something bigger and better after this regime and it's horrendous economic policies that probably led to your lay-off is removed.
