What will the media do when Dubya gets no bounce whatsoever?
How will they couch it?

They seem to be minimizing Kerry's movement with glee.

The truth is that ABC's poll just released showed a 6 point movement in the positive for Kerry, and showed more people trusted him to be Commander-in-Chief.

But you'll hardly hear that fact couched in a positive light.

1. They'll say no one was expecting a bounce, because the electorate
already knows him. They'll define success for Bush as coming out of the convention with no change in poll numbers.

4. Ah yes, that bar can always be lowered a notch or two
It will be entertaining to watch the "fair and balanced" coverage of the RNCC with every single media whore in America bending over, cheeks spread wide, for penetration by the GOP.

lie and conduct polls worded to make bush look like he's doing better than he is. every poll i've participated in for the past month, the bushites seem to have their 30% base, and no more than that. the media is lying when they claim it is a close race. they are just trying to set up another theft. they are complicit with the coup.

5. They'll invent a bounce.
Why not? The last 3 1/2 years have been total, media peddled bullshit.

6. Maybe they'll call up their friends at Gallup
and give them the numbers to release, +10 for * sounds about right. Zogby and others will show no bounce.

8. Bush SHOULD be getting a "terror bounce" right now
Shouldn't he? Given the logic, shouldn't every one be all scared and polling for him in the past two days? Isn't that the point of the alert?

If he doesn't pull up a few points from the alert, then that fact should be pointed out, that terror is not buying him votes.

9. If seven polls show no bounce for Bush, and one shows a bounce,
they will publicize the poll with a Bush bounce.

11. Don't You Realized Bush May Actually Loose Ground?
There are a lot of people who have become skeptical of bush and will find themselves actually listening to what he says and how he says it for the first time. I think he will actually loose support by making a public appearance. Remember, you don't need to have a ticket in hand and sign a pledge of allegiance to turn on your TV.

15. He probably will lose numbers...
...the 'Liberal Media' will, IMO, manufacture a bounce for him and announce 'Kerry didn't get a bounce(bull!), but Bush did!!'

12. They will fudge the numbers.
It's very simple. Our society has gone to hell in a hand basket and the media is complicit. What I wouldn't give for a Walter Cronkite or Edward R. Murrow right now. :( WE ARE SCREWED! We CANNOT fight the media! OK, let's go do a HUGE protest in front of CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and NBC......WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO COVER IT???? NO ONE! WE ARE SCREWED PEOPLE!

13. Actually they've already written the stories and they include an
"unprecedented bounce", they just have to edit the byline from K Rove to whomever they choose to attribute it to. They are afterall gonna be very busy on the floor of the conventionon their knees fellating all the repukes and their bullshit.

You can count on it.

They will poll delegates leaving the convention for proof.

19. Bush'es bounce
Hi DUER's I am new here but love it. Don't count on * not
getting a bounce. Their convention is much more politically
planned than ours. New York City. Giuliani. Schwarzenegger.
There is going to be a bounce. We need to look to the
debates. The debates are the election this time.

20. Welcome aboard mararg!
I agree...the debates will show Bush and Kerry side by side. Kerry's physical and mental stature will be evident for all to see. Bush got a pass in the 2000 debates, but that ain't gonna happen this time. He has a record he won't be able to defend. It'll be downright embarrasing to watch the Flounderer-in-Chief try to think on his feet.

And no earpieces either!
