millions that they plan on spending on ads. CNN already is advertising a special "W" show for the 29th of this month, one day before the Convention. It should be very complimentary...

6. Anybody know how they gather this info?

I have 2 cable boxes. I have to believe the cable co's can determine what's being viewed via these boxes, but I've never heard for sure. What about the rest of the viewers? Do they just extrapolate on the Nielson?

I know that's how they sell their ads so there has to be some validity.

8. Actually it just occurred to me. FOX viewers are dedicated Repubs

and most likely didn't watch much of ANYthing during the Dem convention, hence lower ratingz versus CNN.

I still think CNN's strategy of cloning FOX is doomed to failure because if I was a rabid wingnut, I'd want my Hannity and O'Reilly shouting through the TV at me, by gum! None of this lame Wolf Blitzer pretending to be unbiased stuff!

9. CNBC should air Phil Donahue.

That would get better ratings than Dennis Miller or John McEnroe.
