I'm getting more hopeful
I was at church yesterday, and a table of women at the coffee hour afterwards seemed to be getting a little rowdy, so I went up to them, one of them being my choir buddy. Turns out they're all Dems! They're passing around anti-Bush books amongst each other and working for the campaign in Battle Creek, MI. I was suprised, as our last church was mostly Republican, but these women told me that most of the people at our church are liberal Dems. We're going to win!

1. Me too!
At work today I received a call from an organization that provides food for disabled veterans. I had given them a donation last year and they were asking for me to match last years. When I told them that I couldn't match it because work has been unbelievably slow this year she said she understood and hopefully when we get a new president in November things will get better. I was absolutely stunned, and thrilled. The same thing happened last week with another veteran's organization I donate money to. And I have never ever told them of my political affiliation.

2. I've been at two dinners of business related people lately - many or
most were strangers - no one talked about our business as is the usual habit - they all talked politics the entire time - and it was anti-Bush all the way. Prior to this spring - I never talked politics with people in business that I did not know.
