Poll question: If it comes out that bushco is using terror threats for politics....

Suppose, sometime soon, various members of the intelligence community go on record with the following: bush's "re"-election campaign has been using the terror alert system as a way to manipulate the press and shape public opinion to bush's advantage. What, if anything, would happen?

I'm convinced he could rape, torture, murder, dismember, cook and eat a puppy during a prime time press conference and people would just say it was necessary for national security or something.

6. bumping, since the NYT is now running a headline on the dated intelligence

Some of the intelligence used as a basis for the terror alert was OLDER THAN 9/11/2001. Yes, bushco actually used pre-attack intelligence from 3+ years ago to justify ratcheting up the alert level in NYC right after the DNC convention.
