Completely Disgusted
I simply can't find the words to express how utterly disgusted I am at this administration. This latest "so-called" terror threat based on on outdated intelligence is just beyond belief. How could this administration use the fears of the people to further their own political agenda? Have they no shame??? How could this administration be so blatant in their lies and not have the American people rise up and drag this idiot from the Oval Office?

I have a bumper sticker on my car that says: "If you're not pissed off, you're not paying attention."

What happened to my country?

3. Monarchs have only one goal
Maintaining their own power. They don't care if it kills thousands, spends billions needlessly, destroys the economy, scares people to death or otherwise brings pain and angst to their "subjects".

Smirky thinks that Terra Lerts will get him re-selected, so he will continue to do what he is doing and his loyal court jester "journalists" will back him up..............all the fucking way.

4. Okay. color me optimistic but I really believe HOPE IS ON THE WAY
Grand Rapids, MI is in my backyard and it is a die-hard Republican stronghold, which is also true for just about all of the West Michigan region. God, gays and guns resonates VERY clearly with the electorate here.

It took my breath away yesterday when I learned that 20,000+ people attended Kerry's rally in downtown Grand Republican Rapids yesterday. In a city and region with such a strong Republican stranglehold, these numbers are nothing short of miraculous.

Until yesterday, I was "guardedly optimistic" but I now more certain that we are going to win this struggle come November

HOPE IS ON THE WAY

8. I'm feeling the same way.
Yesterday I looked at the letters to the editor in the paper and all but one were critical of Kerry based on repuklican lies. I mean, if close to 50% of the electorate is willing to believe that they passed out purple hearts like candy back in Viet Nam then it's truly an abysmal situation.

Then today, I don't even get to the editorial page. There, there on the front page. Away from everything else on the front page. In Parentheses. Capital Letters. Quotated read the following words:

"TERROR REPORTS OLD BUT 'SERIOUS'"

My God!!! We may not have enough fossil fuel to last us another century, but stupidity, that we've got an endless supply of.

11. Welcome to DU. You are in good company in your outrage
Most of us here had a turning point at some time when our anger with the * administration reached a critical level.

I'm a lifelong Democrat who dutifully votes in every election (yes, even run-offs, primaries, and off-season elections). I always stayed moderately informed about current events and was interested in politics. I rarely if ever participated in protests, marches, or even campaigns.

I was firmly against * when he ran, and shocked and disappointed by what happened in the 2000 election, and horrified that he invaded Iraq.

However, I did not become radicalized - truly furious to the point where I joined this list and started actively becoming involved in politics - until this past spring. For me it was the information about Abu Ghraib and the way that has been thrust down the "memory hole" of oblivion, just as George Orwell warned.

Since then I spend hours every day reading what this administration is up to, and it is a frightening and disgusting spectacle.

Kerry has got to win this election, and even then it is going to take years of hard work to fix the problems BushCo has made.
