It's really sad we have to question the security of our nation because of
the incompetent leaders who have mislead us on so many things--things that are documented and presented now as fact.

Case in point: WMD's being the reason for war--proven to be a lie.
9/11 Commission report: blaming the intelligence and not taking repsonsibilty for their own incompetent failure to heed warnings.

How can this administraton really think we can believe them after so much crap they have fed us. I have no doubt that the security of our country is at risk, John Kerry made that very clear in his speech Thursday night, but each time one of these "terra alerts" raises this beautiful color-coded chart :eyes: I can't help but think of what a laughing stock we look like to so many, especially the ones really trying to harm us--whoever they may be.

1. I fear your statements will fall on too few ears to make a difference.
Outside of this forum the general public is incredibly naive, or just downright ignorant, of the facts. The general public is criminally misinformed/underinformed. If it doesn't get broadcast during American Idol or some other such inane reality show most Americans don't know it even happened.

The ignorance and apathy of the average American is frightening.

3. Don't be surprised if you learn a lot of Democrats are pretty naive too.
I'm amazed every day, talking to people I meet, just how uninformed these people are. These are people who claim to be Democrats, Repbulicans, Independents, and others.

Too many Americans today are concerned only with their favorite teams standings in the pennant race or who is going to be the next Bachelor or Survivor. Too many people are completely ignorant of the issues that will be decided for them in November.
