The GOP is Afraid of Women's Voices & Votes-Media trying to villify Teresa
I assure you, they know that Women's voices are going to be the end of their rule....why do you think they now try to villify Teresa Heinz Kerry? I was just watching MSNBC, they were asking whether she is a liability because when at a Kerry/Edwards rally yesterday a Bushite got on a Bullhorn and shouted "4 more years" and she said "4 more years of hell" and started the crowd chanting "3 more month, 3 more months", they are saying she is a "liability" to his campaign....

There are 22 million unregistered women voters in America that didn't vote in 2000.....If those women were to register, take a guess how many of them would be voting for Bu$h?

Try less than 5%.....and they know it....

I marched in April on Washington for the March for Women's Lives...the power and energy there (not to mention the numbers of women which was intentionally under-reported) was incredible...including the 1000's of "Republicans for Choice"....

Girl Power! That will be their underdoing!

:hi:

6. I have been told by many men at DU
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 11:44 AM by TeacherCreature
that if these women don't vote we shouldn't bother with them. I think that men, whether they want to see it or not, are afraid of these women becoming politically aware and active. They are afraid of the party looking less like them and they are afraid of losing control of the party.

15. Yes, a group I'm working with - 1000flowers.org.....we are producing
"beauty kits" and targeting these women through beauty salons....

http://www.1000flowers.org

I'm actually in the process of trying to visualize someway how I can reach these women...One thought I am tossing is literally renting a Winnebago and going on a cross-country tour to register these women and talk to them about women's issues.....

What do you think? Pachamama's Road Trip with the Pachababies to reach women voters? It's still in the concept stage, but I'm actually very serious about what I can start doing the next 97 days....

5. She didn't start the 3 more months chant...
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 11:44 AM by ClassWarrior
I was there. Labor started passing it around before the rally even started. Mrs. Kerry just repeated it after the crowd started chanting it.

And what she really said in response to the Bushbots was, "They want four more years of hell." But heaven forbid our "journalists" get the facts straight before they rush a smear onto the airwaves.

Anyway, good - let them drive strong, independent-minded women to us. We'll take them.

9. This is the Big Script Item, the BIG LIE that PEANS across TV Pravda
On virtually ANY channel, you get the same.

I saw an identical sneering "special report" on Craven News Network (why oh why do I stop for confirmation of the obvious, even on rare occasions!) by Linda Chen?

Who the fuck can keep up with these Bushevik Toadies anymore?

This is one of the Goewbbels v2.0 BIG POINTS to be repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated...

How the hell did we find out way into this Precancerous Condition of the Soul of Our Nation?

12. It's going to backfire IMHO...
The days of telling women to shut up and sit down are long gone.

14. I'll believe it when I see it and not before
This has nothing to do with "the days of telling women to shut up and sit down".

It has to do with Pravda & Propaganda, public realtions and marketing.

Nothing more.

And I am afraid it works all too well, as Goebbels and Rove have both showed.

What the hell do these people have against intelligent women who say what they mean? Are they that much stuck in the pre-Renaissance?

11. Then there are the "other" women...
I saw a bumpersticker on a car yesterday that said "Republican Women Support the Troops."

Now I would never deface someone's property but I felt like taking a permanent marker and writing "Do you really believe the Democratic mothers and wives of soldiers don't support them...IDIOT?" on her car door.

I'm just hoping a lot of the repuke women don't vote, or get a conscious in the voting booth and vote Kerry and lie about it. :)

17. She is only a liability to Bush!
So many of the things that the media say is a liability to Kerry are things we aprove of.

I want both of them, Teresa and John to stand up to the repubs like thay are doing.

18. Mama T speaks for me!
I like her more every time she speaks out. My daughter, grandaughter and others in our circle take pride in being "Uppity Women". My generation - that of the Betty Friedan's and Gloria Steinham's - 'agitated' for women's rights and respect. As those advances are steadily eroded, we need all the Hillary's and Theresa's we can find.
