We have a good station around here (NYC), 1600AM WWRL (
http://www.wwrl1600.com/mainframe.html), and there's an excellent show from 3pm-6pm, Drivetime Dialogue with Sam Greenfield. Very funny guy, very intelligent, and a liberal. I always switch between him and Randi on the way home.
Anyways, yesterday he was talking about the new terror threat, and if it's a political ploy or not, and he was taking calls. Just for fun, I decided to try and call in, and go through on the first try. Once he came back from the commercial break, he took one call, and then put me on. It was kind of cool..I introduced myself, gave him props for the good show, and said that with this administration, I wouldn't be surprised at anything. And if you look at the news: great convention, Kerry is in the news, the deficit keeps getting larger, churches in Iraq were attacked (first time Christian places of worship were attacked), but all we talk about Monday is terra, terra, terra. He agreed, that Karl Rove is very capable of pulling a stunt like that. We talked a little more, and he thanked me for my call, and I hung up.
Just wanted to share my experience...my next goal is to get thru to someone on AAR.
