What brand of bike does Bush ride?
I've heard complete idiots talking about Kerry and his $8,000 bike. Now there are those that are chiming in to say it's French made.

Here are the facts:
Kerry rides a Serotta Ottrott. Is it expensive? Sure! It's one of the best!

Oh, and it's American made:

http://www.usstuff.com/bikes.htm

$8,000 going back into the U.S. economy, how horrible!. Something the repugs don't seem to consider. Anyway, I know there was a thread on Bush and his bike. Anyone know what brand he rides?

9. It's a $3100 Trek
<snip>
Bush's new bike is one of the best in the business: a Trek Fuel 98 made of high-tech carbon fiber. The frame is adorned with top-shelf components that Bush professes to know little about, including a motorcycle-style front and rear suspension that soaks up big bumps.

On edit: the article states it's a Trek Fuel 98.

12. I've never understood the desire...
to insult someone on the basis of their being able to afford fine things. Seems like an impressive bike. I make do with my $120 sale price, no-name special, but then, I'm neither rich, nor a serious bicyclist.

lil Georgie's rides a Trek Fuel 98, costing a tidy $3100.

Oh, and he's crashed it. So, they'll be a few more purchases of $3100 Trek Fuel 98 bikes down the pipe.

17. ummm... actually, I was insulting repubs...
isn't that de rigeur here? That's one of the reasons *I* signed on anyway.

The original poster mentioned that people were getting all bent out of shape... hence that "complete idiots" part of gatorboy's post. I was adding to this by saying that I didn't understand why people ever care in the first place.

So, I am afraid I'm a bit confused as to what your point was.... I mean that sincerely, not a shred of sass or sarcasm. What is this satire you allude to?

Karl won't let him go out on it, because he KNOWS Dumbya will just stack it.

Karl lets Junior ride a $59 AMF "Roadmaster" from Wally-world...

18. They have to be "complete idiots".
John Kerry owning a $8,000 bike is like me owning a $5 bike, if you want to look at it as a function of "how much of a year's income did you spend on that bike?"

Nobody busts my chops when I buy a $5 bicycle....

Of course, unlike the Pretzeldent, I CAN ride one down a dirt road without leaving any skin behind.

Here it is, guys, the "Bike of a President"
