To any Florida DUers that may have seen the Daily show last night

There was an interview by the gal (I think her name is Stefanie) with a candidate for State House. Is that guy a real candidate or was that interview part of the "Fake" news of the Daily Show. He was so far gone I find it very hard to believe he could be a real candidate. HomoPhobe that he was, not to mention blatant racist. I'm sorry I can not even remember his name

Whether or not Ed Heeney's views on gays and lesbians help him win votes in central Palm Beach County, they're getting him some national exposure.

In remarks reported in this column on May 15, the Republican state representative candidate said he was "homo-nausic" and warned that Palm Beach County residents should be wary of gays and lesbians moving north from Broward.

"I've had enough of their influence on our culture and society," Heeney said. "I have no personal difficulty with them. I just know they're not to be underestimated. They're very, very militant."

I think he has never seen the Daily Show or he would probably not have given that interview unless he thought he could get into Samantha's pants that is.

9. So it WASN'T a dream!

I watched the 1AM EST Daily Show because I was listening to Mike Malloy's debut, then I went straight to bed. I was planning to watch it at 7PM EST tonight to make sure I hadn't dreamed it! I, too, thought that Heeney was some kind of hired comedian--his name and face seemed just as implausible as his political beliefs. And what does Stewart do for an encore? Bring in a member of the GOP truth squad who's never watched the show before and doesn't understand why he's being dissed!
