Can you name one or two people dumber than George W. Bush?
Randi Rhodes insists that anyone and everyone is smarter than Bush. I tend to agree and it's really hard to think of anyone more stupid than him.

Any suggestions? (And no, your brother-in-law-doesn't count. Try to stick with people in the public eye.)

65. Yeah for you!
Whatever your reasons were, at least you aren't now deluded, in denial and lying to yourself. (which is what I think you must be to vote for him again) Or just plain dumb.

You are allowed to evolve and change your mind. Some call it flip-flopping, I call it having a brain and a conscience.

6. Forest Gump maybe
but of course he was fictional - and in reality - he wasn't an intellectual - but he wasn't dumb either, as his story was one of eventual success.

People such as Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, M. Matlin, R. Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly aren't dumb, just ill-informed and they may not even be that ill-informed, just decided they like the $$$$.

I honestly can't think of anyone else at the moment, but something to ponder. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

"the weed that would be king" in 1972 when he was in Montogomery AL (supposedly serving in the guard, but actually working on a campaign for senatorial candidate Blount)? Coincidence??? I DON'T THINKS SO!

The Birmingham News

"Winston Groom, the "Forrest Gump" author, remembers a pleasant dinner with Bush in the summer of 1972. Lobbyist Fred Crawford recalls talking baseball, lots of baseball, with Bush. Birmingham native Murphy Archibald, now a lawyer in Charlotte, recounts how Bush often bragged about his drinking."

23. Maury Povich
I remember when I lived in DC and he was on Metromedia 5 or something. He was a newscaster who also had a noon feel-good piffle show (in fairness to the Povich family, I hear Maury's father Shirley Povich was a great sportswriter).

Anyway, one day Maury had this heart transplant specialist on, and they talked about heart transplants for a while. Then, Maury asked with intense sincerity, "With all the success in heart transplants, how long will it be before we can get brain transplants?"

I nominate Maury Povich, aka Mr. Connie Chung.

58. Well, I should revise and extend my remarks...
..perhaps I shouldn't say "quite intelligent" as though he is a genius. This is what I do think. I think what the media did to him was pretty pathetic. I think that he was not likely to be an absolute moron, but rather more likely to be someone not good thinking on his feet, which I can identify with.

If you had to hear me talk off the cuff sometimes, you'd think I was dumber than a box of.. really dumb stuff.

But I'm not. :)

So I think I was more think that he was really unfairly brutalized in the media for a few sound bite stupid things, and I remember reading some writings of his and a listening to a few less formal interviews and thinking that "moron" didn't seem to be the word to describe him.

61. Yeah, Quinn sounded like a real dolt
and not funny at all. I thought Terry Gross was walking on eggshells trying to be fair to him and not look like a "media liberal" by challenging him. (Of course, Colin was challenged enough on his own without any help from the interviewer. What a bore!) Bill Maher was on before him and was much more articulate, interesting, and funny.

Quotes from http://www.jumptheshark.com/t/toughcrowd.htm -

"Colin Quinn is possibly the worst talk show host on the planet, every time he does a joke he stumbles and stutters his way through it. It is almost painful to watch sometimes. The guest 'comedians' are completely unfunny. Whoever greenlit this garbage must have a grudge with comedy central because this is a complete train wreck of a show."

"...Say what you will about Maher, but at least he educates himself and is prepared on the issues. Quinn's ripoff is PI for retards and that wouldn't be a bad thing if it were only funny."

"why does colin quinn still have a contract with anybody? He wasn't funny on remote control, he wasn't funny on SNL, so who figured that his co-workers were slowing him down. I've got to agree with a previous critic, it seems like they pulled a teamster out of props and forced him to tell the jokes they fished out of the trash can."
