2. I hope the Kerry Campaign hits back hard against this crap!!
How low will the republicans go? Trashing a Vietnam veteran who served this country unlike the chickenhawks in the repug party!

The idiot who wrote this book didn't even know Kerry during Vietnam. He just happened to take over command of the same swift boat.

Damn these people to hell, if there is one!

4. Have you seen the NBC documentary
"John Kerry, Bringing the War Home" ? Brian Williams narrates it. They showed it several times last week. You hear tapes of Nixon, Colson, Haldeman and even Kissinger plotting to get Kerry.

Colson finds this clean cut veteran just back from Vietnam to challenge Kerry on the talk shows. It is John O'Neill, the guy who wrote this book. He and Kerry debate on the Dick Cavett show. Kerry puts him away quite easily.

His wife is a partner in a Texas law firm that has represented Bush, I believe.

3. Bob Kerrey is on record to
defend John Kerry's record.

How can anyone question the honor of a war hero and say they are Patriotic?

Again, they find some poor saps who weren't present during any of these allegations to make up lies, just like the intern story.

I believe this will all backfire on the Repukes, and open the door on the Bush dirt that has been hidden.

Hold on, folks, the ride will get wild.

5. Oh, man, I hope you are right that it will backfire on the Repukes!
I need this to happen soooo badly. I want all this Bush dirt strewn across the land, and I want it NOW!! I need something that the RW types I know who only care that Bushie says he's born-again and prays to Jesus every morning will begin to see the truth. I want to use the word fascism but I fear they will not understand that. After all (they'll say) Bush is GOD's man.

I can't take much more of this. Can't wait for that wild ride.

Bush MUST GO!!!!!

6. Don't worry.
I have a strong, strong feeling that Bush is gone and I live and work in D.C. Been here my whole life. I can just feel it. He's gone. But we have to work for it. We will. We are.

8. Welcome to DU!
Can you tell us more about the feeling in D.C. without endangering your job? (I say that because some people who have made it possible for their jobs to be identified have been fired for comments they made here. So I would never encourage anyone to say anything here that could allow somebody to figure out where they work or live.)

I travel to D.C. on business every few months, and I have noticed an amazing phenomenon among bureaucrats in the department where I consult. As you probably know, bureaucrats generally stay out of politics. They ride the waves of the administrations that come and go, and they never, ever say anything disloyal about whoever is in charge. Not any more!

The ones I know have been retiring in droves and making open statements of contempt and outrage about the current administration. As far as I can tell, if the federal employees in D.C. could vote tomorrow and determine the election, the only ones voting for shrub would be the recent appointess, ideological morons all.

10. Hit 'em with this
This is Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony. It is one of the most beautiful anti-war statements ever:
